One thing that concerns me with seeding is that we've got a pretty bad record against top teams. We would have to beat Iowa State and win the Big 12 tournament to pull our record to .500 against RPI top 50 teams. To me that means the highest seed we'll get is 6, but more likely we're stuck in the 7-9 range unless we do win the Big 12 tourney, in which case we could get a 5 seed.

It's US, OSU and ISU for 3rd and 4th. If we beat ISU at home, we have a very good shot at 3rd in the conference. We have by far the easiest schedule for the last 4 games.

We could still get 1st but there would have to be many epic upsets. I'm hoping the pokies lose to isu and ksu so we could pass them in the standings.

I think this will indeed happen to OState but I think the best we will do is be all alone in 3rd.

Will the 5 seed play the day before against the 10 seed? We might prefer to be the 5 seed to get that warmup game with TCU. I've seen us open the tourney with a 1st round bye many times and look very lethargic and not hitting shots.
