According to basketball reference, they've had 7 NBA players in their entire history. Lee Nailon and Kurt Thomas are the only ones that I've heard of. Of course, neither of those guys had anything to do with this current staff.

As far winning, they've been to the tournament 7 times. A first round exit in 1998 was their most recent appearance.

Yes...some guy with the last name "Tubbs" was coaching those teams. Billy's tenure there was not viewed as anything above average, but when you look back, I would have to say he was quite successful there. I don't believe TCU had a losing record in any of Billy's 8 seasons. They only went to the Dance once, but had a few NIT trips sprinkled in. He's probably their most successful coach ever. They fired him after 2002 thinking they were going to do better...wonder how that turned out

Maybe he's thinking about getting a one and done and staying close to home on a team where he will get a bunch of time and be the main guy and close to his family.

It's not like Bolden is a top 10 player on any recruiting site. He might not start for any other team. Look at diallo. Went to ku. Draft stock went down. Same thing for labissiere.

Tcu is the one school on his list that increases his odds of being one and done.

Looks like there are some conflicting reports on who his final 4 actually is. I've seen OU on some, KU on others. Looks like there is little doubt he's headed to Kentucky tho.
