Bryce Thompson timeline?

Doubtful. But just my opinion.

I think this is another thing messed up by yet another 11:00 kickoff. Not that we'll ever have a big crowd for a basketball practice, but it would almost certainly be better if the football game was in the afternoon or evening and practice didn't have to start so early.

I wish the practice was after the football game -- they'd draw more fans then, wouldn't they?

Basketball players are college kids, too. They want to go to the football game and party with their friends after the game along with the other students. Game days are for having fun.

In my college days, if I'd been asked to get up early enough for an 8 a.m. practice, game days would be for naps.

Good afternoon,

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile here, but wanted to wait till I had something more exclusive.

From Eric Bailey...

Bryce Thompson’s top recruiter may not be a legendary coach from a college basketball blueblood school.

The five-star prospect receives a strong pitch from his Booker T. Washington teammate Trey Phipps, an Oklahoma commit.

“We were taking a picture and he was like ‘Let’s get the Boomer Sooners here.’ We got together and we took a picture,” Thompson said, adding a smile. “He’s doing a good job (recruiting) and trying to make me go there.”

TW, a recruiting nugget like that is a good reason to welcome you back!

Good to see you on the board again!

Thanks. I expect Tulsa's BTW to have another great season, so I'll at least have updates on Trey Phipps to share.

As long as this is a Bryce thread, however, Bill Haisten did a great column back in January on his work ethic...

When he was a fifth-grader, Bryce Thompson approached his father with a proposal — to set an alarm for 5 a.m. so they could be in a gym for an hour of shooting and basketball drills before the start of the school day.

Bryce didn’t want to suggest it as a one-time thing, but as an everyday thing.

The response of his dad, Rod Thompson: “I told him I was fine with it, but that he had to be the one who set the alarm. He had to get himself out of bed and get himself ready. If I had to pull him out of bed, it wasn’t happening.”

Spoiler: Six years later, his morning alarm remains frozen on 5 o’clock.

Ya'll see they hosted the entire Thunder team at the football game? Lon taking pics with Donovan on Twitter. Red carpet indeed...

I doubt BT was anywhere neoar the Thunder players or staff. That would automatically get OU basketball the death penalty, given how the NCAA like to punish teams.

I read a report elsewhere that said Thompson thoroughly enjoyed his visit and had a great time hanging out with the team.

Went well from what I heard.

Think nba free agent presentation setup. Different phases over the visit.

Why make this prediction while he’s on his visit to OU? Not a good sign.

So the NCAA violations will have no impact? That’s nuts.

No. I think it has a lot to do with it.

MY OPINION ONLY. MY OPINION ONLY

IF he were to sign with Ku....... there would be an opt out if penalties come.

The NCAA took almost 2.5 years to fully investigate, rule, and hear appeals on Lousiville. Why do we think this will be any faster?
