Bubble Watch catch all ..

First four out on The Athletic. And one of teams in front of us (BYU) can’t do anything to improve their stock. As the article notes, a bunch of teams that were just outside the field lost over the weekend. I think we have reason to feel confident that we will make it if we beat Baylor. I also don’t think we have much of a chance of winning that game. But for all the people who were suggesting we have to win three games this weekend just to have a chance, that just doesn’t appear to be the case.

Thursday is a play-in game. They are going to The Dance if they beat Baylor.

the Athletic has 18 teams left for 11 spots (this does not account for bid thieves ie one bid leagues having a champ possible lose or a team out winning a big conf tournament)

ESPN has 17 teams for 5 spots ..

Am i wrong that if osu wasnt banned from big 12 tourney that we would have been playing them first round? If so, that burns us pretty bad bc then we could have punched our ticket with another win over little brother..

OU would have been playing KSU in the first round if OSU was eligible with the winner playing KU

i think it would have ended up in the same spot would have needed a win vs KSU then a do or die game vs KU

Didn't you say earlier this season that OU would/could get in with a 7-11 conference record, based on the strength of the Big 12?

We had several around here saying that.

Beating KSU again would have given OU another Quad 1 win.

neutral site they have to be top 50 they are 71 so it would be a q2 game

and might drop them out of the top 75 making the last game q2 also

Two games is obviously small sample size, but I felt we were much closer to winning against KU.

We can match-up with anyone in the Big 12 ... but Baylor has been a matchup problem for us. Good news is that they are THIN right now (only 7 played in their last game), so any key foul trouble for them could turn the matchup.

I did not know that about neutral site games, thanks for clarifying!

I think even if you are right in all of that, having an extra win notched regardless sure looks a lot better and just have been enough IMO. Would rather have had that route then having to beat baylor (fingers crossed we make this moot and win anyways)

I know it's almost Tuesday and things change quickly but feels like we may have to win 2 in kc.
