Oklahoma Sooners
That sound you just heard was the staff of Bubble Watch joining in a collective cackle of smug delight. "Why do you still have Oklahoma in Bubble Watch?" everyone said. True, we did threaten OU with expulsion from the Watch at one point, but, hey, we run a tight ship here. Anyway, look at Porter Moser's team now. Oklahoma closed the season with three straight wins, including a Quadrant 1 road victory at Kansas State. It might take mock brackets a day or so to dust off OU's name again, but make no mistake. The Sooners are lurking. (updated March 5)
Oklahoma (17-14, 7-11; NET: 42, SOS: 7): It is easy to get too caught up on Quadrant 1 and miss some of the other decent stuff a team has done. This is true of mid-majors at-large candidates, who often have a (much-lamented) dearth of Q1 opportunities on their resume. But it can also be true of a team like Oklahoma, which is 3-11 against Quadrant 1 but 6-2 against Quadrant 2. If the Sooners hadn’t had so many chances for big wins on their very difficult schedule, and you just saw three Q1 wins, six versus the second quadrant and a bunch of victories over cupcakes instead — well, that’s a resume some ACC teams would die for. We still don’t think OU is very likely to get in the field, but there is something bubble-worthy here, anyway, especially now that OU finished with three straight wins and faces Baylor on a neutral court on Thursday.
I continue to proclaim on my death on the hill of beating Baylor locks us in. We are somewhere between the first (most optimistic) and tenth (least optimistic) team out. A win over a top team like Baylor wouldn’t inch us up— it would launch us up. It would take absolute crazy shenanigans to keep us out if we beat Baylor. Playing the Bears is a blessing/curse. We really need one more win. Kinda stinks it’s against such a good team. But BECAUSE they are so good, that likely keeps it as ONLY needing one win.
This is likely all moot. But I do think a win would leave us breathing easy.
Thank you for the athletic update Boulder

The SOS numbers for the ACC teams tells us all we need to know about how weak that league is this season. I've seen Wake on the bubble in some places, while others seem to think they are in. Let's just say it wouldn't be a bad thing for OU if they lose to a terrible BC today.
Great upset!! Wake is done, go butler bulldogs now!!!
I don't know if this absolutely knocks them out, but it certainly puts them in serious trouble if other bubble teams play well the next few games.
