bye bye aggy - good riddance

This is far from over. At the end of the day this "statement" from the SEC could be nothing but pure semantics designed to cover themselves from a legal perspective.

In that case, perhaps not utter humiliation for them.

LOL @ aTm and Mizzou.

The ugly girl who gives head and thinks she has a boyfriend only to never be called again.

What I'm reading on twitter from Matt Hayes, Stewart Mandel and others is that the statement released by the SEC was a legal statement drawn up by the conference's attorneys. Texas A&M has to actually withdraw from the Big 12 before the SEC can do anything, or the SEC could face legal action.

If nothing was really going on why would the SEC really send out a statement saying nothing was going on?

The SEC isn't going to invite anyone (officially). Schools apply to a conference and that conference votes on whether or not to accept them (but schools won't apply unless they know... unofficially... what the vote will be).

What happened today with the SEC presidents means nothing. A&M's got some kind of meeting scheduled for tomorrow at which a vote is supposed to take place. If they decide at that point to leave the Big 12 and apply to the SEC, the SEC can vote without really contradicting anything they said today.

Because aTm are being a bunch of idiots and making it perfectly clear what their intentions are before the process has even started. They're being stupid but in the end will still apply to join the SEC and then get an invite from the SEC.

:ez-roll:This is almost like wathing "Airplane" or "The Naked Gun".:ez-roll:

Let's go to the Pac-16 with Ok st, Texas and Somebody else

I loved this idea last summer and I still love it.

Have an 8-team "mini-conference"/division with Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, Colorado, OU, OSU, Texas and Texas Tech (or Kansas).

The other 8-team division/mini-conference would be the rest of the old Pac 10.

You could limit or even eliminate "cross-over" games in the non-revenue sports to get past the travel issues. You could put together creative championship ideas, like 4-team "mini-tournaments."

The time zone thing even really wouldn't be that big of a deal, with the vast majority of your games against the other 7 teams in your division... ours would have 4 teams in the Central time zone and 4 in the Mountain.

I have to say that the most overrated football road trip ever was my trip to A&M in 2004. It's a flat ugly concrete jungle in a cult like atmosphere of dorks.

lol... boca isn't holding any punches in this thread.

Agreed about A&M... Went in 2008 (when OU humiliated them from the start) so I can't really evaluate how their in-game atmosphere is, but for a school so large I was very underwhelmed with everything else regarding the university and College Station.

Hopefully everyone involved is asking themselves the proper questions. Namely, "How can we best screw Kansas?"

I like the way you think.

Speaking of Kansas, isn't it ironic that those dual KU and OU fans no longer frequent our board now that OU is not very good in basketball. Could it be they were completely full of it and lying about OU being their second favorite program?

Would you spend a bunch of time worrying about your second favorite school, if they weren't any good, and it was "off season"?

Anyone paying any attention at all knew all along that the most prominent Jayhawks fan who claimed to also pull for the Sooners was lying through his teeth. He showed his true colors many times.

Don't worry, campbest still trolls around here from time to time.
