Can someone tell me why Miami deserves to be ranked and not OU?

I dont necessarily believe that we should be ranked, but I just dont understand how Miami is ranked.

They have ONE good win this season against Michigan State.

But they also tout HORRIBLE losses to Florida Gulf Coast and Indiana State.

What makes their resume significantly better than ours?

Maybe they feel sorry for them because of the imminent beatdown the NCAA is soon to levy?

They do lead the ACC currently and have only 3 losses, where we have 4. I kinda like being under the radar where we currently are. And, with our upcoming schedule, we probably wont be getting ranked unless we can pull off a couple surprises. However, no matter the result, Buddy Hield will be playing with the most emotion on the court of all 10 players out there

Stephan F. Austin is why. That was a terrible loss.

The Stephen F. Austin squad that is 16-1 right now?

Gotcha. Terrible, terrible loss. They're an awful team.

If only we'd lost to a 13-8 Florida Gulf Coast team instead, as Miami did -- a team that's lost to Maine and Lipscomb and Mercer. That's the kind of program a top 25 team should lose to.

How is our SFA loss any worse than Miami's losses to Florida Gulf Coast or Indiana State?!

Last time I checked, SFA was 16-1!

They have 2 bad losses, we only have 1, and their 2 bad loses were MUCH worse than ours.

Don't focus on the loss...focus on the quality wins.

We have none.

Correct. They don't remember the bad losses as much as they do the quality wins come selection time. We haven't lost to anybody that will threaten us too much, but we haven't beaten anybody either. KU at home would probably get us in the way we're taking care of business against teams we should be beating.

Miami leads Duke at the half 42-19

Not saying it means anything but they do.

Or perfect timing! lol

:ez-laugh:

I'll say what I said in another thread!

Hey now, lets not rag on me too hard.

I didn't mean to say that Miami was a bad team.

I was merely pointing out that (until tonight), Miami had not accomplished any more than we had, and they had 2 bad losses compared to our one bad loss.

Great win for the Canes.

quick someone make a thread dogging OU. like OU will not make the final 4 ;)

Not ragging, it was a perfectly appropriate question. I think it just goes to show how in the dark most of us are.

First thing I thought of when I saw tonight's score was this thread!
