Can you guys explain some Trump things to me?

I don’t worship Donald Trump. In fact, I don’t really like him. However, you liberals have lost your damn minds.

I believe in America, law and order, capitalism, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, religious freedom. That’s a vote for Donald Trump.

I do not believe in socialism, communism, mob rule, pedophiles, sexual predators, people who hate America. That’s a vote for the Dems puppet Biden, who will be replaced by kamala after inauguration.

I vote for America. You vote for chaos and the destruction of America.

Well said, mict085! We have more in common than I realized.

I find this quote fitting for abd:

Your guilty conscience may force you to vote Democratic, but deep down inside you secretly long for a cold-hearted Republican to lower taxes, brutalize criminals, and rule you like a king.
---Robert Underdunk Terwilliger Jr.

Trump's brother recently passed away and there's a retweeting of "Wrong Trump." Is this an example of tolerance? Indeed not, but "convenience matters." The following vid is a black woman asking "what is wrong with people."

She’s right, the hate is sick and disgusting.

Politics aside, the division on this board between friends is troubling to me. And, to be honest, I’m not sure the harmony we once enjoyed will ever be the same. I hope I’m wrong!

Trump calling for a boycott of Goodyear Tires because they don't support him. It's the largest American tire company, based in Akron Ohio.

I thought conservatives hated cancel culture? Now we have POTUS attacking an American company, Ted Cruz boycotting Nike, etc.

Many conservatives are sick to death of cancel culture. Some are resorting to fighting fire with fire. You conveniently left out the part that’s causing this anger towards Goodyear tires. Predictably, you frame the story how you want instead of telling the whole truth.

Goodyear sent out some “rules” for employees.
What’s acceptable: being gay, supporting LBQRST, wearing black lives matter clothing.
What is unacceptable: MAGA, any Trump clothing, blue lives matter, all lives matter.

Is that fairness? Is that discrimination? Allowing one point of view while suppressing another. I’m certain it’s not legal. I would like an opinion from employment law but I’m certain this double standard would open them to liability. Either way, it’s hypocrisy and deserving of criticism.

This is yet another example of the double standard and faux rage being stoked by dems. They tell half truths and use misdirection to inflame and stoke division and anger. All in the name of winning an election. It’s Disgusting and it’s a lie.

This is the Goodyear “scandal”. It appears that is was not circulated by corporate. Probably some local BLM idiot that works for Goodyear. They should find whoever did this and fire them.

So you're saying Trump took some unverified information and tweeted out a boycott on social media before fact-checking it?

Well, I'm not a fan of boycotts on either side, but if that is indeed a policy set forth by Goodyear, it is beyond incompetent. There will no doubt be people who no longer buy Goodyear tires because of it. If and when this has an effect on their bottom line, the people that will potentially lose their jobs because of it won't be the imbeciles who drafted that stupidass policy....instead it will likely be your front-line workers.

Goodyear did not put what Trump said. They said there is zero tolerance for political merchandise regardless of party affiliation, but they will allow messages over racial injustice and equality. A worker from Goodyear made his own document on a laptop, took a picture of it, then sent it out. That is what Trump tweeted and said Goodyear is against him.

So I assume that means BLM shirts are not allowed?

That is not Goodyear's policy. They ban ALL political messages. That means that you are not allowed to wear pro-Biden apparel either.

But I am totally for a boycott. In fact, I think as many Trump supporters as possible should load up in buses and go picket the Goodyear plant in Akron, Ohio. It's not like it's the largest employer in the state and it's not like Ohio is a swing state or anything. In fact, I think Trump supporters should post videos of themselves slashing Goodyear tires. This is what President Stable Genius wants. It's an amazingly brilliant political move.

Here is a link to the audio....you be the judge:

It appears BLM is appropriate, but blue lives matter is not....and that is "political". I don't know what their policy is regarding politics, but this appears to be at least contradictory based upon the audio.

I don't work for the company so it doesn't affect me one way or the other. And I don't buy Goodyear tires anyway (I'm a Michelin man).

The last set of tires I bought were Kumho, which is a South Korean brand.

Utterly ridiculous. Blue lives matter is political but BLM isn't?
Maybe the cops will stop buying goodyear

Black Lives Matter is a movement to help bring awareness to racial injustice & to stop police brutality. The BLM organization did not start the movement, so really Black Lives Matter isn't in support of the organization it's in support of correcting racial injustice.

Blue Lives Matter & All Lives Matter was created based off their misunderstanding that BLM means "only black lives matter" which is dumb. Blue isn't a race so it wouldn't fall under the category as bringing awareness to racial issues as Goodyear stated.

All Lives Matter and Blue Lives Matter are basically ways to impugn Black Lives Matter. That's why it gets push back.

Of course, on the surface, every life matters, which includes lives of the police.

The mainstream Black Lives Matter movement is different because the accusation is that systemically, a black life did not matter, or doesn't matter now. It was never assumed that white lives didn't matter, or that police lives don't matter. But many black people feel like a literal underclass economically, socially, stuck in poor communities, make less money for the same work, stuck in bad schools, and in the eyes of the state (of which the police and criminal justice system are apart).

To the average person not considering it... I can see how you would think, "yea, I think cop lives matter". Of course, but by that logic, I could have the following movements:

  • Blue Lives Matter
  • Horse Lives Matter
  • Dog Lives Matter
  • Vampire Lives Matter
  • Shopping Mall Santa Lives Matter
  • Etc...

Blue Lives Matter and All Lives Matter then, is a counter protest movement. That's why people get bent out of shape about it. That's why ONLY people who don't like the Black Lives Matter movement dig in on Blue Lives Matter and All Lives Matter. It's not because anyone thinks white lives, asian lives, police lives, etc don't matter. It's because white lives, blue lives, etc are not an underclass, and are not a victim of systemic oppression. Those movements ONLY exist in response and as a counter to an idea that Black Lives Matter.

BLM is a political organization. period. They were brilliant in thier naming of the organization as it can silence people that object to the organization by claiming they don't think black lives matter if they don't support BLM.

I don't think this is correct in all instances. Blue lives matter started when people started increased attacks on police.

You can't have it both ways. You ban it all or you allow it all.
