I hate it when a coach blames the players and he is the one who evaluated the guys and offered them a $100k+ worth of education for them to play.

At least he should've said we need a couple more studs. His quote makes it sound like we don't have any quality players.

I wouldn't put much stock into anything Capel says right now.

The statement regarding better players is cowardly btw. He recruited em and under his watch the roster was gutted. Also that statement itself tells me he's fighting for his job, basically saying it's not his fault the team played terrible and with better players he would be a winner.

I've got an idea. How about the AD comes out and squelches the rumors so that you can move on, rather than further fueling the speculation by not commenting.

Those are his kids he is referring to. Will his team read any of these quotes or hear about any of it. It isn't like he has a bunch of new guys coming in. He will be depended on the majority of these same kids next year.

I don't think I can agree with that. Sure Capel should be more honest but there is a pretty big difference between a bunch of dummies like us commenting on the talent on the roster on a message board and the team's coach basically saying the kids he brought to the team are talent deficient and that's why he keeps losing.
