Championship Week Preview

I still think we are the best team in the conference. Hard to pick us to win the way we've been playing the last few weeks though.

I might agree. I think Kansas is probably the best right now, but we still have the potential to be that team.

IMO, Kansas is the best and there is no question about it. Best program, best talent, best coach. And until someone knocks them off they will remain best..imo

Kansas is playing great D during their recent stretch - it's really not close right now regarding the distance between them and the rest of the Big 12 at this point in the season.

Interesting match up with ISU. In some ways I hate the draw. They seem to have given us fits at times. However, this could be a game that jump starts us again in more ways than one.
A win and a good performance could bolter our confidence and give us some momentum heading into the tournament. Always important at tournament time.
Additionally, it would be another win against a quality top 25 team increasing our chances to obtain a number 1 seed. In fact, if we make the B12 tournament finals I think we'll be a 1 seed. That would give us 2 more wins (likely WVA in the semi) over highly respected teams padding our resume even more.

no, KU is...as sad as that is. When I think of "best team", I think of consistency, depth, overall talent.

We are a team that COULD knock them off in the tourney, sure...but for overall best team in the league it's not close.

Isu and us have the same problem. Pretty good starting 5 but no depth

wv, bu and ut have decent 5 with some depth

tt ksu have players that will work hard...not the most talented or deep...

osu and tcu don't have talent or depth...

IF we play like we have the last 10 games we don't win the tourney (b12), IF we play like we were before then we have a good shot...

I grudgingly admit that KU is, at present, the best team in the Big 12 (and probably the nation). But to say it's not close (between them and us) is just not accurate. They beat is in four overtimes at Lawrence (we win the game if Lattin hits the front end of that 1-and-1), and we led the birdies in Norman for most of the second half and probably should have won that game as well.

We swept Baylor and West Virginia, and could have (and should have) swept Texas.

Alas, I agree we have not played exceptionally well in the last month. And I agree we've got to get some serious issues resolved if we want to go far in March. I happen to believe we will.

guess I point to the last 10 games or so...since their "slump" they haven't lost.

If we played them 10 times, I'd say they would win 7...but I'm just a fan with an opinion.

wv took a tip in with 1.2 sec left, bu we blew a 24 pt lead and persevered enough to get the win (to get the sweeps)..horns, well...I'm pretty sure I haven't seen ku give up 20+ leads this year.

the old saying "if my aunt had a **** she'd be my uncle"...hopefully we'll get another shot at them, either the B12 or NCAA.

I prob hate ku more than anyone on this board...but I also see how good they are. At this point they are playing really well. Their D has really stepped up.

They're good. You'll get no argument from me.
