OU vs. Arizona - 1988

Zona had Sean Elliot, Kerr and tom tolbert I believe. This was a good game. I've already set my dvr.

I love watching the '86 - '92 Billy Tubbs' teams. For about 6 years there, OU was one of the top 5 programs in college b-ball, being ranked #1 on several occasions. In those days the jucos were full of great talent and Tubbs always seemed to pick and choose who he wanted...although I still get sick over losing Larry Johnson to UNLV. He was all but commited to OU, then bam..it was over. I also wish Orlando Lightfoot wouldnt have had grade issues and made it in. He went on to star at Idaho.

Gordon's son did turn out to be a great player. So much fun to watch these games.

I saw the 84 Syracuse game last week. What other games have they shown?

I was out of state last Friday, so I missed the much-beloved whipping of the cocky Cats from Tucson. I sure developed an intense hatred for Arizona while living in Albuquerque in the 90's.

I also look forward to finally being able to see the entire "Billy Tubbs Reunion" show in about 18 hours. I only got to see the last half of it when it first aired. People always forget that the '88 OU team was picked third - in the Big 8, that year, and Stacey King seemed to think they were picked lower than that when the subject came up (it was supposed to be a "rebuilding year" after McCalister, Kennedy and Johnson graduated).
