There could be an awful large amount of crow being eaten 'round here pretty soon.

I'm here to eat some crow on Blair. Serve it up.

Serve me up some too, I can admit i was wrong, Capel Coached a hell of a game for the Last 30 minutes of the game

I predicted a 16 point win. I was kinda pissed we were down big early on when I turned it on from the Army/Navy game though.

Guys I know this wasn't Kansas or K State but this win will really help this team. When they were down in the first half they could have folder their tents and gone to the house but they started playing defense and then the offense came and so did the confidence.

My favorite player and for some you wont agree but its Blair. If you would take the time and watch his eyes as he is coming down court you will see why I like this kid, he is always looking for the pass then the shot. He had a good game today but this kid is going to develop into a play maker. As for the team, one step at a time and this was step two, the win the other night was step one.

Blair also had a couple of rebounds that were helpful. He goes after the rebound.

Kudos to Capel for beating ORU.

C'mon, B.O.B. John Madden once said after the Dallas Cowboys beat the Green Bay Packers in the 1995 NFC Championship game: "If you're going to blame every loss on him (Barry Switzer), at some point you have to give him some of the credit when they win." Granted, ORU wasn't GB, but the point remains the same.

This was a very nice step in the right direction. Our play increased over the game and it was very nice to see the confidence build.

I just hope to see a similar maturation vs Cincy this upcoming Saturday. I just want to see us be competitive for a whole 40 minutes vs a BCS conference team before the crow is heated up for the rest of the year.

Good quote. I thought I did give Capel credit? I said kudos to him and I meant it.

I was not attempting to disparage the performance by the team or the win.

My apologies then. I know you've been one of his many critics, and I'm not arguing that Coach has brought most of that on himself. However, I would just like to see those who are criticizing him to give him props when his coaching makes all the difference in a win...regardless of the opponent.

Are we going to have a thread like this after every single game we win this season? Signs point to yes.

Good god, man. Haven't we had to wade through one negative thread after another after every loss?

That's the point. After every loss we are inundated with "Capel sucks" threads. After every win we are inundated with "crow" threads. These are so productive I can hardly stand it.

I'm all for being positive after wins I just think threads like this further enforce the "us vs them" mentality that is rampant on this board right now.

As long as we keep on winning, there is no "them", and that's ok with me.

You're a great Sooner fan, senior, and I have great respect for you as a poster. But if you're serious about being tired of the constant "Capel sucks" and now the "crow" threads, PM me and I'll give you a pointer on how we can cut down on both.

This is something that really bothers me, both side want to desperately be right for whatever reasons (approval, gratification, whatever). Whenever we do lose (trust me it will happen at some point, rather Cincy, random sister of the poor or Big 12 play, we're not that 76 Hoosiers) there will be a thread from us/them (depends on your perspective) further throwing gasoline on the fire. Then vice versa on the wins.

Rinse and repeat and that is how I believe this board is going to end up being. There are "radicals" on both sides who will hold steadfast to their beliefs all season long unless a major change is introduced into the argument. (i.e. OU losing 16 more games or so this year or OU going 8-8 in conference). Even then I'm not sure if some will stop beating the dead horse argument because in some way/shape they will be right.

I feel stuck in the middle because I see both sides of the argument, as I really have some questions and doubts about Capel as a major division one head coach. On the flip side I'm such a fan that usually around 2 hours or so before tip I start getting excited and I believe that no matter who we play we will find a way to win. Then "live and die" with every shot, every turnover, every loose ball. Then be dang proud when the team scratches tooth and nail and pulls off a couple upsets in conference.

/sleep deprived rant over
