Regarding the compliance department. Are they supposed to monitor phone calls? Are they supposed to go over phone records on a monthly basis? Just curious, as I never understood how people can rag on the Joe C. and the compliance department. You are only as good as the people you hire. You can't monitor them 24/7.

Now if they are supposed to go over phone records, they hey - they did screw up.............

Based upon the past problems of cell phone use, I can't imagine why they wouldn't look at the monthly phone records of each and every coach on campus. That just seems like the prudent thing to do.

There is an old business model which says, "you get what you inspect, not what you expect".

but when you use the term or word WAAAYYYY it makes people think you know exactly what you are talking about

I don't think he knows what he is talking about....regardless of whether he uses the word "WAAAAAYYYYY".

The question is whether the NCAA will actually punish a major institution? If OU and USC are not severely punished - both repeat offenders still on probation - then the NCAA is a sham. The NCAA knows there credibility and pocketbooks are on the line.

The NCAA punishes major instituitions; have you been paying attention in the last 30 years?

Why is the NCAA pocketbook on the line? The NCAA makes it money on the NCAA BBall tournament. They could give OU, USC, plus Kentucky, Kansas and UCLA the death penatly and still field a great BBall tourny of 68 teams. They certainly didn't lose any money when SMU football got the death penalty.

You type like you know what your talking about, but you don't. And that pi$$es me off.

Really? How many capital "Y"'s does it take to go from thinking a guy is speculating over something that not many people really know the facts about to thinking "hey, this guy must know something, he used the extra 'Y'"? If anything, misspelling for effect makes me think that a person is less credible. You seem to just be picking at all speculation, which is an opinion you're entitled to...just don't try to cover that up by saying that because the word "way" was in all-caps and had too many Y's is the reason you're not happy with the poster.
