i think we can win the national championship if our defense can hold opponents to 3 points or less.
Worst record of any USC coach this century. I believe they've had 5.Well that’s probably it for USC. Wonder how much longer Riley is in LA.
But but they scored 27 points.Worst record of any USC coach this century. I believe they've had 5.
Kevin Wilson? LOL. No.
Better winning percentage than Kiffin and Helton, and currently tied with Sark.Worst record of any USC coach this century. I believe they've had 5.
The offense is just limited by what it has. WRs that mostly can't separate. RBs that are injured or checked out. Barnes and Ott want out. Everyone else is injured.kevin wilson is an offensive genius.
he has more creativity in his little toe than arbuckle has in his entire body.
i really have no idea why ou is paying guys like wilson because they're obviously not using him in any meaningful way.

This is the ultimate example of “multiple things can be true.” The offensive talent isn’t nearly where it needs to be. The quarterback isn’t good enough to make the WRs look better than they are. The head coach hasn’t helped things with his staff decisions and by directing so much of the NIL money to the defense. And the OC isn’t doing his part to mitigate some of the deficiencies.not buyin what you're sellin..
mateer is mostly garbage but if you take away his decision making and call short quick hitting routes....he's capable of making those throws.
we saw that briefly today.
unfortunately....arbuckle who is also mostly garbage...doesn't stick with what mateer does best.
he actually/apparently called a deep fade on 3rd and 2 at midfield.....a throw that mateer just can't make....ever.
i know x is dinged up but a 3 yd run on first down is better than an incompletion on a throw mateer can't make....especially when we needed to run some clock in the 4th quarter.
yeah...we seem to be screwed at rb. but x was out there...and never touched the ball in the 1st quarter. why not? well we only ran 6 plays but still no excuse.

We did a better job throwing a few deep balls that forced the safeties to make mistakes and get us a couple plays for Sategna. We didn't even try throwing those passes for like 5 weeks. We need a true burner outside that can win some one on ones. We haven't had that since Mims. This is the ultimate example of “multiple things can be true.” The offensive talent isn’t nearly where it needs to be. One specific thing I’m wondering: Sategna legitimately does have elite speed (for a football player, I hate when people say world class speed as if a WR or DB could run in the Olympics). How can you not find more ways to get him the ball in space? Maybe they try and Mateer just misses him. I know they have occasionally tried screens and Burks just can’t block. But man they have to figure something out. Speaking of Burks, there might not be a bigger bust. I have no idea how he has fallen off so much since Purdue. He can’t separate, can’t get open, can’t make guys miss when he does catch a pass. And I don’t want to hear about injuries. He’s been healthy all season. Football players get injured all the time and once they are healthy, they generally don’t come back as a shell of themselves. But that seems to be what happens to our guys.

Nobody will say it.....heck, I will.....your post is whack!Nobody will say it. This team would have been dead last in the conference if it is not for the defense the way the offense play.

Kevin Wilson being better than Arbuckle is not a flex. This is OU. We can and should do better than both of those guys. Kevin Wilson time has passed. If we were serious about winning a title, we would hire the Georgia tech OC or Kotelnecki from Penn st. And we would pay the price for bringing in top offensive talent in the portal.kevin wilson is an offensive genius.

OU is 9th in the SEC in offensive efficiency. That means 7 teams are worse. Do you watch other games?
I still would like you to explain why you bash people for complaining about the football team but you have no problem doing it about the basketball team. The only difference I can see is that you like Brent and don’t like Moser. But if you think it’s fair to complain about one coach consistently, how can you argue with a straight face that it’s not ok for others to do it about the football staff.I'm not going to read thru the game comments. I was actually at the game, cheering for an OU team that is one win away from the Playoffs.
I'll assume it's more of the same, bitching about an offense we all know isn't pulling it's weight, despite having 3 freshmen (two true freshmen) starting on the OL, a QB with screws holding his thumb together, a young OC learning on the job against SEC competition, a RB room with 1 healthy, playable RB, and a WR room that probably needs an upgrade.
Nothing is going to change this year. There is no magic wand to wave to fix things. It will get addressed in a major way this offseason. If you can't find the fun in rooting for a 9-2 OU team that is chasing a Playoff birth while trotting out a truly elite defense every Saturday, I don't know what to tell you. But some of you literally complain about everything. EVERYTHING. Life is too short and that is exhausting. There are a bunch of fans of other teams that would gladly take what we have currently.
