The comparison of Harden aside, this whole play was an example of pure dumb-****ery on Smart's part. He "accelerated" just to the point where he had no shot at blocking or defending the shot, but fouled out of frustration, abnd then shoved a fan. Remember, even with the dunk, it's a 2-point game with 6 seconds left. Fouling was stupid. Now they needed Tech to miss a free throw to have a chance to tie, then Smart continues his clown act and goes ahead and locks it down for Tech by getting a T. To me, it's an example of total lack of game situation awareness. Poor little Marcus is frustrated, so F the rest of the team and their chances of winning the game... If that play is an example of his being NBA-caliber athletic talent, it is an equal example of his being a peewee-caliber mental talent.
