A well coached team shows improvement during the course of the season. Based on that standard, Coach Kruger and his staff are doing a good job.

Let the improvement continue!

You guys are quick, harsh graders. Glad you guys weren't my teachers. :facepalm

I look at teams such as Baylor and Oklahoma State and I look at their rosters and compare them to Oklahoma's. If Lon K. had the talent that Baylor, OSU, or even Texas has I think he would be doing better than Drew, Ford, and Barnes.

With that being said, I think Lon K. Has done a fairly good job overall with the program. Yes, there are things this team obviously needs to work on, but these guards are very young (except Pledger/Grooms) and have minimal experience playing major college basketball. Romero Osby has shown significant improvement in the paint and M'Baye looks as if he is improving each game. Definitely couldn't grade Lon lower than a B thus far. I think this poll may be more appropriate at the end of the season.

Texas has nobody that can really score on their roster right now. But based on recent history I agree. Ford and Drew may be able to get talent to their schools but they are horrible on game day. Barnes has underachieved for most of the last several years.

Two F's... :ez-roll:

My grade was a well-deserved 'D' at the time the poll was taken. Losing to SFA may still come back to haunt us. We started to turn the corner 11 days later against Ohio. If the poll started today, the grades would range from an 'A' to a 'C'. I'm thinking a 'B-' for the year to this point, so I'd probably pick 'B' if the only choices were the 5 letters.

Williie Warren was his as well. And Capel put together 1 of the best teams in OU history.

Hardly. His best team was not a number one seed, did not win the conference, did not win the conference tournament and did not make the final four. It was a good team but calling it 1 of the best is a stretch unless you mean one of the Top 10-15 teams in OU history.

Iowa State 83
Sooners 64

?
Why are people flip flopping so much this year? Honestly I think the same of this team as a I did after the disappointing loss to SFA and the big win over Baylor.
