If a player's Dad/Mom wants to talk, there isn't much anyone can do about it. Ask Sherri Coale how easy it was to shut Bubba Paris up. It didn't mean Sherri was without a backbone, it meant parents can and do say whatever they want and there may not be anything that coaches can do about it. Fortunately, parents don't make themselves the focus of their kids sports careers all that often but when they do it can be very precarious, or even an embarrassing, situation for the coach.

different situation. Paris, although very wrong, is not telling OU fans that his sons really wanted to go to Connecticut or Tennessee or that Ashley should have came in and started over the existing players from day one.

How you equate Carl and Bubba is beyond me. They are on two different levels. Also, you don't always have to stick up for Kansas. It is much more fun to rag on them. You should try it sometime....
