Game 1: 8 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds
Game 2: 6 points, 8 assists, 12 rebounds, 3 steals

Not sure ive ever seen that kind of thing out of a PF. At least not at OU.

Will he have a triple double this season? It seems possible.

he has the tools to have 5+ over the next two years

True, but I wouldn't be surprised if he has none either. It takes a pretty special game for a player to have that kind of production in rebounds points and assists, especially as role player.

He wasn't really a "power forward" but these are Nolan Johnson type numbers.

Blake Griffin probably put up similar assist and rebound numbers. And he could score a bit too. Well maybe not as many assists. Probably closer to 4 or 5 assists.

I think Thompson is capable of putting more points on the board, if he didn't focus so much on setting his teammates up for scores. But when the game was on the line, he didn't hesitate to take it to the hole. There is definitely a lot to like about his game!

Right on Ada.

abd,

This was exactly what I had hoped for with Nick. His court vision is uncanny for a man his size. I say run him out of the high post all year long and let he work it to Fitz while Cam and Cal cut to the basket. Have Pledger spot up for 3.

Honestly him starting out low post then flashing to the corner with a guy like Cameron cutting to the hoop would be another nice wrinkle. Maybe even have Fitz come up and screen for Cam vs teams in man, could lead to some sweet oops.

As far as I see it. Whenever someone makes a sweet assist I credit the passer with 2 points as well.

Those aren't interesting statlines, those are great ones.

Ya, they are great stat lines. But are interesting because of his position.

I wouldn't be suprise to see a name like Rondo next to that stat line. It also shows you that stats don't mean everything. He didn't get those stats like you would expect a guy to get them. He's not your typical block out rebounder, his assist come from the high post, he's in passing lanes like big men usually arent, and he scores in a very unorthodox way.
