I dont think we are very good, but if we can play to our strengths, hustle, and have a short bench i think we can be decent. Staying out of foul trouble, especially inside will help, we are extremely thin up front.
teams with inexperienced backcourts usually struggle early in the season. Syracuse for example lost to Division 2 LeMoyne last year. I'm expecting Baylor without Dunn to have similar issues.
Definitely not a reason to panic. It is a long season and there are talented players that Capel has to work with- Clark, Fitzgerald, Pledger, Davis, Newell. I watched bits and pieces of your game and the game that the Aggies were playing. I thought the team OU played was better than St. Mary's who the Ags played.
It is really hard for a team to gel that hasn't played together much. And SO much improvement can take place during the season.
DFW off topic to this thread, saw a tweet (Evan Daniel, scout) earlier today saying Sullinger for Ohio State dropped 40ish on Baylor with Perry Jones covering him in the secert scrimmage. Any truth to that?
We played real well the last 10 minutes or so. And I see a lot of potential on the roster. We need a better inside game and we need Cade to shoot less 3s. I think he's a lot more been a lot more effective inside the arc in the past. He needs to get to the line more and get higher percentage shots.

Probably an embellisment since Baylor plays zone. I've seen Jones in practice and he's a lot more focused and intense than I expected. A summer of Acy beating up on him probably helped. But the guard play is a huge question mark.
