I didn't have much hope for OU on Stevie Clark anyway but yesterday on the radio, Jim Traber said that his sources told him that Clark is driving a Cadillac in Vegas and the prep school he is playing for is associated with Sonny Vaccaro (shoe magnate that is on the NCAA watch list).

I can see LK totally getting out of the picture with Clark, if this is true (not that OU had much of a shot).

Clark seems like a good kid with a good upbringing, I just hate that he is getting involved with this kind of stuff, if Traber is correct,

OU has Woodard.
PG spot is taken.

The only remaining interest I have in Stevie Clark is how his bball school decision impacts his brother the 2014 DE that OU wants for football.
Stevie choose a bball power with a crappy football team, please.

Well your post in reply is silly.

(I'm rubber, you are glue.)

Post a reply, if you're actually going to post a reply

OU isn't in a state where it can make statements like you did. Oh we have so and so, we don't need that highly recruited sought after recruit.

We need anyone we can get

You think with 4 ships to use having just signed/enrolled
Cousins and Hornbeak
and with Woodard verbaled.
That a good use of one of the remaining spots would be an
under 6 foot point guard.
Especially with
Fitz, Arent, Osby, M'Baye, Bennett,Neal, Clark graduating in the next two years.

Front court needs to be reloaded first.

if his name is stevie clark...yes

I actually agree with the fact that we dont really need Clark now. Not that he isnt a great talent but we are actually pretty stacked at guard now and you dont keep taking guards just for the sake of taking talent. You can only put so many guards on the floor at a time. You dont have to agree but it is what it is.

Add to the fact that the issues surrounding Clark right now, fact or fiction, are very shady and something we cannot afford to lump with our probation IF they are true. We simply cannot afford more NCAA trouble. Thats the truth. I seriously doubt LK or anyone at OU want to risk anything.

As for the roster, we definitely need size to go with the nice collection of guards we have now. Give me Jones and Woodson to go with what we now have and we are in very nice shape (probably better shape than if we had Clark)

Not everyone will agree but its my opinion.

Adding Clark to Woodard makes no sense at all.
None.
They play the same position, and a backcourt of the two is
a huge defensive liability.
LK made his choice when he accepted Woodard's verbal.
Woodard made it clear how much he liked OU by attending the OU tourney event
this summer.

the remaining 3 ships should go to
2 bigs
1 big wing.

This is his second year.

Are you sure? I could be mistaken. I don't recall hearing any stats or notes from his first year in JUCO, which I'm sure would have posted on this board at some point.

This is my understanding of the rule. If a player is a non qualifier when entering JC. And, reportedly, he was. Then they have to graduate from JC before going on to college. They are not required to play ball at all in JC.

Suppoesedly, Henry went to Redlands last year and this past summer school. Another year could very well get him graduated. Every player starts with 5 yrs. to play 4. The clock started on Henry when he enrolled at Redlands last fall. If he graduates and because he only plays for them 1 yr., when he gets to OU next fall he will have 3 yrs. to play 3.

FWIW, you can cross MU off the list of potential suitors for Clark.

Haith got a commitment from a second point guard in 2013 last night (plus one in 2014). I'm pretty sure MU was one of the handful of schools Clark was currently looking at.

That may be because he was there to improve his grades, not to play basketball.

I could be wrong, but I believe the plan was for Jarion to attend Redlands for one year to work on getting quallified academically. There was even talk that he might be eligible to attend OU for the second semester of this year. But if he just enrolled at Trinity Valley, it's obvious that plan has been abandoned.
