Kansas is at it again...

They return Vick, Graham, and Mykhailuk who all shot over 40% beyond the arc. I'm sure they will be fine.

What's your explanation to their extreme lack of tournament success? Coaching? Chemistry?

Vick took 17 three point shots most of those in blowouts. Let's not crown him a great three point shooter yet.

How well did Wiggins going to ku workout for them? I think they lost in the second round that year.

Lack of Tournament success?

Since 2008 they won a national championship
Went to a championship game
1 Elite 8
2 Sweet 16

And their 2 best teams other than the championship team lost to the national champions.

Theres probably only a couple of team have better tournament resumes then Kansas since 2008. Kentucky has made a trip to the NIT so props to them for not ever slipping during the regular season.

Maybe if Kentucky didn't get Anthony Davis and several other 5 star recruits Kansas would have another championship. And all OU fans know exactly how good Villanova was and they barely lost to them.

I think they have majorly underachieved in the big dance for the caliber of kids they bring into the program. I am not sure even a KU fan can deny that. I am asking why?

They were VERY fortunate to win that title. It went down as one of the biggest choke jobs in final four history.

They also lost Embiid right before the tournament. You think that didn't have any effect on them.

Or not having Alexander for the tournament the following year?

Lately they have had some unfortunate things happen to them.

The last 2 years they lost 2 key big men. Embiid and Alexander.

I don't care, they still had a lot of talent on that team, to go out in the second round.

I guess we should erase everything Mich St has done b/c they lost in the first round...and they weren't missing anyone.

If it becomes a trend (like at KU) then people will...

Why is that hard for you to understand?

Why is that hard for you to understand?

Because it hurts his tender heart to see our fans not respect other programs, not to mention the recruiting gurus who awarded their players so many stars.

I hope I live long enough to see him defend our program, our players as fervently as he does other programs, but I fear that's a pipe dream on my part.

What trend. They won a national championship
They went to another championship game
They lost to Nova who won it.

Duke has gone out twice in the first round of the tournament. I'm sure winning championships erases that feeling.

I love basketball...i don't have to act like child towards other programs.

They have underachieved by seed almost every year under Self. They typically have what is viewed to be one of the best teams in the nation, and very rarely do they live up to that in the dance.

The trend is they lose in the tournament a lot sooner than they should most years with the talent they have. That was a fluke for Michigan State.

09 - lost to mich st who went on to play for the championship
10 - Probably had the most overrate KU team ever. Their non conference schedule was weak and the big 12 was weak as well.
11 - lost in the elite 8
12 - lost in the championship game
13 - Lost to michigan who played in the championship
14 - Lost Embiid before the tournament
15 - Lost Alexander before the tournament
16 - Lost to the championship team.

Please tell me where I suggested you should? I just expressed the desire to live to see the day you stand up for "your" team as much as you do other programs. But I might just as well express the hope of seeing the sun rise in the west.

You're not so much a basketball fan as you are a recruiting-gurus devotee. The stars they award influence your loyalties every bit as much as the movements of the heavenly stars guide the decisions of astrology adherents.

Sorry, losing Alexander wasn't the reason the '15 team flamed out.

Its not a recruiting guru. I pay attention to what other teams are bringing in. Why are these teams winning championships. I used to love bringing in juco players. B/c of prep schools, the juco talent has gone way down but we continue to bring in these kids especially when there are still talented kids that we could be recruiting and in our own backyard. I can't look at teams and see that every team that wins a championship has at least one 5 star on their roster and I cant respond with...well, we can win one without one.
