Kansas outplayed us

This series is the same as OU v OSU in football. We both know they will win 9 out of 10 games.

Dude...lay off the chronic...

Losing is never good with me..:

I said I wouldn't mind the loss under those conditions.

Basically saying that if we lose, because we probably will, I hope it assists wvu to a outright conference title.

Lon needs to adjust his schemes.

The last couple weeks teams have just been throwing everything they can at Buddy and daring everybody else to beat them, and we haven't adjusted. When Buddy couldn't get anything in the first half, we were down by 15 in an instant.

Buddy keeps going off in the second half because guys are tired of chasing him all game, and all he needs is to beat them by a half step to get an open look. When Buddy gets shots in the flow of the game, he's unstoppable. When we are forcing it to him despite the other team throwing everything they have at him, we get bogged down.

They're not going to help off Buddy on drives. Isolate and drive more toward the side that Buddy is on. If the post helps, dump it off. I know that's an overly simplistic breakdown, but that's where you start.

I love this OU team.

But they aren't good enough, too many flaws to be a Natty Contender.

It's still a terrific team that COULD be a final four team but they have to click on all cylinders to beat the elite teams.

KU is really good, they have been there before and it shows against OU for sure.
This is a avg Kansas team

Everyone is outplaying us and I'm not a sore loser. We aren't the same team. This team has some issues and it could just be the shooting slumps but I dont think so. We don't deserve a 1 seed now. Not looking good in first half of every game. We might lose 3 more at least. Where will that drop us to?

Geeez! So disappointing to have so much on the line and lay that turd. Probable conf championship, possible overall #1 and we drop that off.

Cousin's coming back has been awesome. Hield was off but at least hit a few. Woodard. Ummmm. Lattin, contributed a little. Spangler, cant throw it in ocean right now either.

The one thing I knew about this team from the get-go that would come to light later in the season is that we have a low ceiling. It doesn't mean we won't go to the Final Four (I still think we will!) , but it does mean we're not going far unless everyone gets on the same page. We can't get away with different players going into slumps at different times any longer. We got away with it up until recently because teams with higher ceilings were still learning how to play together.

OU is very well-coached. The fact we were #1 for three weeks without a single top 100 high school player and without a single top 40 recruiting class speaks volume to what we've accomplished to this point. And while we've proven that recruiting services are overrated, they're not THAT overrated...hence my point about having a low ceiling.

As much as I wanted to end Kansas conference title streak, for me, it's still all about March. OU's NCAA tournament goals are still within reach, but only if everyone plays to their ability.

Let's go wvu! I wouldn't mind ou losing in Morgantown if it meant ku doesn't win the conference

Tiny, with all due respect, this is the mentality of an Oklahoma State football fan. They would rather beat OU and lose to everyone else than vice versa. As much as it sickens me to see Kansas win another league title, I would love nothing more than to help them by winning in Morgantown.

We have played for more than half a season already. Have our post developed??? Have we gotten better with every game? Do we have any post play for how many games???

Correct all around

In addition without a low post presence. Ryan can rebound with the best of big men but he's just not a post scorer and that's what we need in the worst way.

The great thing about March is teams with good guard play can go far and that's our strong suit, obviously. We just need good matchups.

Can anyone point out where I said I hope we lose in Morgantown so ku doesn't win the conference?

We have our best team in decades....and they still f$#%ing own us.

Don't think that's close to being the truth, Blake's Elite 8 team and of course Hollis' Final 4 team was overall a much better group imo and I've thought that for a while.

We have a very good team in a down year in college bball. We're fun to watch and have a great bunch of kids who hopefully peak in March, it is very disappointing the road losses to the same opponents and any loss to KU but this'll all go away if we make a run in March.

To those looking to pinpoint where the turning point was: with about 2 1/2 minutes left, we led 71-70 and Selden missed the second of two FTs. Should never get an offensive rebound off of a missed FT, but they did... Greene miss a 3, but KU got ANOTHER offensive board, and Graham promptly buries a 3 to give KU a 2 point lead. Big sequence of events.

It didn't help that we did not have an answer for Graham: in the last 5 1/2 minutes, the guy made 3 three pointers, a two point jumper and two FTs. That's 13 points, he was most of their offense the last 5 minutes, 13 of their last 17 points!

Hurts to admit it, but they just flat-ass outplayed us down the stretch in our own house.

Biggest play of the game IMO was when Woodard hit the 4 point play to go up 3 then OU went under the screen and allowed Graham a wide open look he drained.

They have more options on offense late in games.

Very true. It's unfathomable that cousins would go under the screen multiple times in the crunch time only to see spangs not hedge at all on those same plays...

OU had better get the lead out the next two games are very crucial. Wvu and Texas on the road. Spangler has got to shoot more. Its killing this team. His shots wil open easy back cuts to the basket. Jordan has to keep penetrating, he is a pg also. Getting lobs to Lattin and kickouts to open shooters and focus on getting to the line more. Cousins has to keep his head. I believe teams are trying to get into his head. It show s on his face when he is frustrated. Played a good game today but bad shot at the end he could have driven to the basket for two and one. buddy just be buddy and lattin stay out of foulf trouble and James stay focus, he is exploisive out there.

We play tech not longhorns next. We better hope we dont hit a slump now. but better now than later in the B12 tourney.

Remember 1988, we beat them twice during the regular season and then they beat us in the National Championship game. Would be great if we got them back for that.

I couldn't agree more. I haven't posted much but I've been screaming this all year about the lack of post scoring.

I would.
I don't give a damn about who wins the conference if it's not Oklahoma. Oklahoma winning games is the only thing that matters.

If Kansas wins the conference for the 27th year in a row, it's because Kansas is a championship team and they deserve it. Hopefully one year we will earn it.
