Kansas State played Amazing

West Virginia played their best game of the year (probably next to the one they will play against us at their place), Iowa St. did the same, Kansas also, and so on and on. We need to count on that and prepare accordingly-especially on defense.

Woodard missed his shots and then sucked at D. got too penetrate more period.
Cousins played well offense but still immature in meltdown phase. He has too grow up too lead this team to final four.
Buddy should drive more get more free throws from here out.
Overall team has to play better D. Focus. Crunch time is coming.

He actually caught himself before he made contact with the ball. He shouldn't have done it but it is really not big deal. He got made started to punt the ball and pulled the kick but it was already too late.

He said in the postgame quotes next time he will remember this and start to attack the basket more than to keep shooting the bombs.

sure I'll get chastised...but,

#1 isn't the Kruger's job? or at least some assistant?...Hey Buddy, Isiah, Jordan...we need to start driving to the hole. They are hedging and doubling on the screen...let's spread out and drive. How many of us on the game thread were saying this? a lot...

#2 HATE, just HATE to call Buddy out, but this is the 2nd game and I put it on coaches first...but to wait til LATE in the 2nd half is not good.

I'm sure they'll play well tomorrow...and Sat. Need to get back on the path.

How do you know the coaches didn't point it out to him time and again but he kept jacking it from deep? They kept shooting 3's when the game was far from over. All they needed was a score most possessions and we probably win the game but they kept shooting the long ball. I have to believe Kruger, who is a good coach, was telling them to take it to the hole. That's why they had the defense all spread out.

If Kruger told the players to start driving it, but they kept shooting; shouldn't they be benched? Regardless of who it is? That's a serious question. I don't mean benched for the entire game, but just sat down for a minute and talked to.

I would also add that K-State is a far better team than I think some people realized. Going into Saturday, they were around #50 RPI and 46 in KenPom. Now they're 35 RPI/39 KenPom. They have a top 15 adjusted defense rating on KenPom.

Playing a team like that on the road is incredibly difficult. I'll again quote Ken Pomeroy, "Beating the 90th-ranked team on the road is about as difficult as beating the 50th-best team on a neutral floor, which is roughly as difficult as beating the 20th-best team on one’s home floor."

Lastly, I'd point out that this holds true across college basketball. There are only 2 teams in D1 with fewer losses than OU right now. One of them is ineligible for postseason play, and the other plays in the Sun Belt. I fully expect for there to be a one seed with 5 or 6 losses. OU is just fine. Just need to get back on track and protect home court tonight.

No, I don't think he controls his players like that. I'm sure he uses that game as instruction and sometimes the best way to learn is to work thru it.
