Marc Stein reporting it on Twitter. Not sure if he will accept, but he is who the Magic want. Apparently management there was in Milwaukee when he was an assistant there.

Interesting to see how he'd mesh with NBA personalities. Seems like he'd be a good fit for young, up & coming teams.

He will have a nice base.... Needs a point guard though.

PG: ?
SG: Evan Fournier (18 ppg, great size, very nice shooter)
SF: Aaron Gordon (18 ppg, 8 rpg... great athlete and only 22)
PF: Jonathan Isaac (super athletic rookie this year, great defender)
C: Nikola Vucevic (averaged 17 and 9... 27 years old. Good production)

Orlando has the #6 pick in the draft... they will almost certainly take a point guard. CBS has Orlando taking Trae Young at #6 to complete their lineup. Kelvin can get him coached up for his defensive problems...

Too bad they traded away Payton. If they could resign him this offseason, this would be about as classic of a KS lineup as you could get in the NBA.

I really feel like he is better in college. Hope he turns it down. He is building Houston the same way he rebuilt OU. I think he'll have them regularly in the top 25 before too long.

I agree... don't pull a Fred Hoiberg. The NBA will fire you very quickly. We did a nice thread on that when Hoiberg left ISU and I think its pretty clear that college is a better deal, especially for some types of coaches and I think Kelvin is one of them.

There is big difference in what he’s getting paid at the U of H versus what an NBA coach gets paid. 4-5 years in the NBA and he could ride off into the sunset.

Makes $1.4 million at Houston. Frank Vogel was making $5.5 million. Significant difference. But at Houston you can keep your job as long as you want. In Orlando you will get fired in 2 seasons. Also, 82 games vs 30.

I'd still take the money probably.

The magic should draft Sexton. I don't want to see Trae in the Eastern version of the Kings.

I like Kelvin but to me he's limited as an NBA coach.

We lambasted the hiring of Quin Snyder, but the Jazz are doing okay.

Turns out Mizzou is just not that good of a job... always had that "sleeping giant" appeal but it never came to be. Smartest thing Mike Anderson ever did was leave Mizzou.

Quin Snyder is a good coach.
