Thankfully, it is not a double-elimination tournament.

(Sorry. At this point all I got is a poor attempt at gallows humor.)
 
Dont forget worst big 12 record over the last 3 years too. But I'm sure next year will be different...

Joe was too busy mucking it up with Toby to watch much of the game...he'll take Lon's word that they played hard.
 
Yeah, it’s more than coincidence

Conference tourney not his thing. Conference coaches know him too well?
 
I know Lon is responsible... But it's still a recruiting problem... So many guys in the rotation or riding pine that just can't play or push the starters.

They had to play Reynolds for 20 minutes last night and he is completely ineffective.

It's a very pathetic recruiting job the past few years filling holes on the team with legitimate players... You guys know my stance on it, but damn it was on display tonight.

next year will be the most talented roster OU has had under Lon

Not so fast, OU is not in the tournament yet. They may have played themselves out of the tournament.

Why did they have to play Reynolds 20 minutes and Calixe 14 minutes down the stretch? All while sitting the starters. That was the coaches choice last night.
 
Over an 8-year career at Oklahoma, Lon is 72-72 in conference games, and 2-8 in conference tournament games. That is mediocre. That is not the record of a great coach by Oklahoma standards (or any standards for that matter).

You just can't argue that. He, like Capel before him, has not embraced what makes OU good. He hasn't recruited well enough top to bottom.

I think match up...needed more of an outside threat than odomes.

Just my guess...and when odomes drives he isnt dishing it off..
