Well, we both know you were "championing" Shaka in jest until about 4 days ago.

To your credit, you have said Tad Boyle would be a good choice, and I agree with you there.

At this point, BCG and Pearl are not valid options. BCG already has a job, and nobody is touching Pearl until they know what the NCAA is doing to him. You and I both know Joe won't touch anybody with a past like Pearl's considering where our program is now.

They CERTAINLY don't have the background to prove THIS statement.

Yep. He came within a wink of beating Capel in Norman last year when OU had WW, Tiny and TMG all playing. If it hadn't been for a really bad call from the refs, UNC wins that game.

Not saying Boyle isn't a good coach, UNC was awful before he got there...but if you're going to champion him, then you need to do it for the other mid-major to low-major coaches who have turned around programs.

CU was good this year, but I really don't give Boyle much credit. He had a returning all-conference player and Alec Burks (NBA first rounder) in the backcourt. If he makes some noise in the Pac-10, then yeah, he's a lot better than I am willing to give credit right now.

KState cast off? I don't think so. I just don't think I will be happy at all when this concludes. Maybe Jeff should have got another year.

I think Jeff should have gotten one more year. Jeff would have been fine had Tiny & TMG worked out but kids do stupid things sometimes and the result was Jeff's job because you can't have back to back losing season at OU.

FYI, was listening to the radio this afternoon (I live in Vegas) and they had the beat writer on for UNLV. He said he called yesterday and asked Kruger about other schools calling. Kruger didn't deny that other schools had called (Utah is a rumor as well) but he has told them all thanks but no thanks.

Its definitely not enough to put him out of the picture, but thought I'd pass it on regardless.
