Looking at the 2015-16 Iowa State team

Biggest mover in the conference for 2015-2016.... Texas Tech.

Book it.

I agree, ISU will be an early favorite to contend for a Big 12 title. They don't lose anyone from this year's team they can't easily replace. If Buddy returns, I think it will be one heck of a battle between KU, ISU and OU for the top spot.

KU loses Oubre, and likely Alexander, but Self will do his usual reload act in recruiting and the Jayhawks will be tough again. If Buddy comes back, I think the Sooners will be ranked no worse than the top three in the pre-season.

Hogue is not easy to replace.

Yes, I think James, Odomes, Walker, Buford, McNeace, and Lattin will outperform the four guys you mentioned. Absolutely.

19.3ppg, 8.3 ppg.

Lattin will be a slight upgrade to Bennett from that year but unless he improves dramatically...not much.

Walker is likely to play less next year.

James is recovering still but maybe he contributes in his FR year what Hornbeak did as a Soph.: 5ppg, 1.8rpg in 18mpg.

Odomes could do what Booker did for us 5.1ppg, 1.5 rpg in 15 mpg

Buford could possibly do what Neal did for us that year 6.3ppg, 3.3rpg in 15mpg.

That'd be pretty special for a RS-FR to come in and do that in 15 mpg.

Mcneace probably won't play very much.

To me, I think the "bench" will largely be the same in comparison plus we won't have a scorer like Cam Clark in the lineup you're suggesting with Manyang at the starting 5. Might be a better defensive lineup though. There's slightly more 'on paper' talent in the projected bench as there was then but less experience too.

I don't think next years bench will be light years ahead of where we were at in 13-14.

Dante Buford will be our 2nd or 3rd best player next season.

Kid is GOOD

VERY good.

Lattin as a freshman was already better than Bennett as a senior. So yeah, I think he will be quite a bit better as a sophomore than Lattin was as a junior.

Yeah, there's just no way an OU team returning four starters who finished 1 game out of first place in the big 12 and reached the sweet 16 will be able to challenge Iowa state and KU for the title.
