Loudest LNC game

Craziest thing about that Baylor game is that there were only about 8,000 in the house by the time the madness began. Those 8,000 make quite a ruckus.

First 40 seconds of this year's Texas game, before we got down 6-0. ;) Hoping for many louder games next year. :)

This and...

2/25/90 Missouri Norman W 107 - 90 12,157 10 vs 1

2/27/90 Kansas Norman W 100 - 78 12,166 5 vs 1

back to back ear bleeders...

To me these were slightly louder and more intense than the '95 Kansas game.

I don't doubt for a second that the '90 games were louder, but I don't remember them as vividly as I do the '95 Kansas game. Hell, I can still remember what I was wearing that night.

I've heard the '87 UNLV game and the '82 UC-Irvine game were off the charts.

OU vs. Duke 1990. The game occurred over Christmas break but LNC was packed and loud. I acutally painted my face for the game and made it on TV. An undermanned OU team (had lost McCovery, Patterson, Jackie Jones to grades) jumped out to an early lead and Duke pulled away at the end.

I meant UC Irvine in my post but called it Cal State Northridge. I should have checked soonerstats but was being lazy that night.

The UC Irvine game was off the charts loud especially when we started making the comeback. I was 11 at the time and the LNC was going bonkers for the first ever post-season game in the LNC.

The Irvine game. Looks like a full house to me.

The loudest basketball games I have ever been to were in Stillwater, OK. Friend of mine has season tickets and I saw OSU play Texas and OU back when they had Lucas, Graham, Bobik, Allen, etc and it was sold out and deafening.

I was at the 2004 O-State game up there when they just destroyed us. Loudest BBall crowd I've ever heard, and it's not close. My wife (g/f at the time) sat beside me in the next to last row up top she told me she couldn't hear herself think.

Totally agree with this game! OU was 20 points down in the second half. The comeback was helped by the lack of the standard tv timeouts that we now have.
