He has shown in pre game a great stroke from 3 pt and from mid range. So has Grandstaff. Need to see the D effort and capability to know if they can make a difference. But if we are in catch-up mode? They can score.

Why wouldn't I count on Grandstaff? You saying he won't be around? Because if he is around, I expect him to be very good for us.

I know he has a kid in Texas, supposedly the reason for coming back this way from OSU. Guessing he wants to be closer...or is just done with basketball

Wow! Not something I like to hear.
I did notice that he did not participate in pre game shoot around.
Also, he was not even on the bench for several games.

Explains a lot of things.
A lot of us have been saying that taking a guard this late probably meant somebody was leaving. Sucks it's Grandstaff, I had high hopes for the kid. He would have been our highest rated or second highest rated player next year (McGusty?).

Maybe the staff allowed him time to spend with his son before hitting the ground running for offseason workouts. Has he been working out with the team the last few weeks?

That had nothing to do with it. Medical procedure towards the end of the year.
