I'm in on Boone. More than Daimion.

Which is the total opposite of how I felt when both were in HS. I loved Daimion and was meh on Boone.

Looks like he can shoot pretty well. I would be fine with him as a replacement for CJ. His defense should be better just based on his height alone. Would be a great 1st guy off the bench. Might be a tough sell.

This is precisely why I don’t think it’s wise for people to assume that Cooper or Cole will come in and make a major impact from day one. There are lots of guys throughout the country who arrive as four or five star guys, but struggle mightily, especially their freshman season. KJ Adams was a top 50 recruit and just had a really nice sophomore season, but as a frosh, he scored one point a game. I’m not expecting that from Cooper, since he obviously will have far more opportunities for playing time at OU than Adams and Collins did at their schools, but the people who expect a big turnaround based on the high school guys coming in should temper those expectations a bit. It’s why we need to have a lot of success in the portal.

To be fair, those 5 stars are being benched by other 5 stars.. while we have a lot more room for freshman to contribute. Of course your post overall is def correct. PM better get some contributors (preferably from the US...).
 
Multiple KU guys in the portal. Clemence (who kills us but otherwise doesn’t play much), Pettiford, and Cam Martin. A couple more rumored to be likely joining them.

Kendal Coleman. He portaled from Northwestern State to LSU last offseason. OU showed interest. He went from being super productive at NW St to barely playing at LSU. 15.4 ppg/10 rpg at NW St in '21-22. I don't know why just yet, haven't read up on him.

Woah Kriisa is a shock, must have been unhappy or have some other issue. He is very emotional on the court but I didn’t sense he wasn’t liked by his teammates when I watched them. Will be interesting to see where he lands.
 
Has OU ever had a foreign player except for Najera, who really made an impact at OU?

Sounds like a good chunk of zona bouncing. One guy reported they had peaked with Kerr. Time to move on.

Seems odd.

Besides Buddy Hield, no star players and no one recent but I would consider Longar Longar and Jabahri Brown had an impact to some good teams.
