Former OU assistant Bob Hoffman will be returning to the LNC. His Mercer team is favored to win their conference and will be a good test. Hope the guys are ready to battle and don't overlook this one...

Game is at 8 pm at the LNC.

I finally get to watch our Sooners in person tomorrow! I'm excited for this one as well Mr. Big time. I hope we hold them under 70, our D concerns me.

Mercer is very good. Senior laden team who dominated their conference last year but got tripped up by Florida Gulf Coast in the conference tourney. This will be a chore.

Agree although some on this board think not. Mercer will give us all we want.

If our kids overlook Mercer, this is a home game OU could lose.

I'm hoping the returning players remember what it was like when the buzzer sounded at the end of the Stephen F. Austin game last year.

Until this team actually loses a home game to a mid-major, I'll assume that they won't.

SFA has beaten us twice at home in recent memory.

Recent OU teams have had lot of dog in them. Have you seen any in this year's version?

Gary, you'll have to give us some leash. We're gun shy...it's only been a year. And we're pretty beaten up from losing at home so many times over the last decade.

I'm part of that we too.

Saw the mercer team at the thunder game tonight. Have them a boomer sooner

I know, but you've seen a lot more of the team than we have in practice.

We could lose 4 of these next 7 non conference games for all I know. They are basketball games. Things happen. But, what I think that I know is that OU will have the best team in all 7 of them.

We lost to SFA last year. Things happen. But, it was Ohio that was suppose to be the big scare game. That time, OU handled a mid major at home just like they were suppose to.

OU should beat this team.

Mercer is pretty good.....they beat Seton Hall and they have a solid big who is in the 6'10" range and a 6'4" guard who can play. They have some solid role players as well....athletic guys who run the floor well and are strong.

This is no pushover game.....it isn't Chaminade or SFA.......they will probably win their conference.......this should be a tough matchup against a solid basketball team.

We saw them up close the week before last and they are good......we played North Carolina Central as well, who beat NC State last week on the road....and Mercer is better.

Let's not make them out to be more than they are.

They are good enough to beat OU if OU doesn't show up. If OU shows up, OU wins.

Mercer has also, in this short season, lost to a bad Texas team. Lost to Evansville. Lost to Ohio. And needed three OT's to be Valpo.
