More Okies playing well

2015

Taylor Hooks-5’6 guard (Oklahoma Lady Elite-John Marshall HS) –Hooks created several match-up problems and her propensity to just make plays was only overshadowed by her ability to find ways to generate offense. She also generated offense with key defensive plays.

2016

Summer Jones-5’8 guard (Oklahoma Lady Elite-Edmond HS)-She had to shoot at almost 50% from BTA on Sunday and watching her catch and shoot it was something to see. She also drained them off the dribble but she could mix it up from mid and attacking

Shameko Jones-5’7 guard (Oklahoma Lady Fire-Webster HS)-All I wrote down was BEAST simply because almost everything she did is playing my head. She overpowers defenders going to the basket and she relishes contact. Also knocked down the mid with ease plus rebounded and defended

Raven Watkins-5’0 guard (Oklahoma Lady Fire-Cascia Hall Prepatory HS)- What’s one of my sayings, size don’t matter and it certainly applied to Watkins. One of the fastest players in the event with the ball, Watkins blew by defenders with ease and she also finished. Hesitation and shake and bake moves plus drops the three effortlessly

2017

Ana Llanusa-6’0 whatever (Oklahoma Dream Elite-Choctaw HS)- I said whatever because she played every position effectively. She’s long and athletic and has a shot at being a MDAA, no doubt about that. Maybe I should have started it off by saying she’s committed to Oklahoma, need I say more

Maybe Sherri can move to more of a Princeton offensive, Ana could play some at the 4.

Ana has gotten some really good reviews and I can't wait to see her in a couple of years. Yes, I also think Ana could play some 4 at her size. I would LOVE to have Franks too.

Speaking of the 4, I think Maddie would give us a unique player at that position.

Another Okie getting some pub.

Jessica Murcer is simply one of those players I didn't have to take notes on and what she does from the point guard position is simply what I love in those players and that's the ability to take the game over when needed but also know who to get ball to and when. Her play was vital in the Oklahoma Stars winning the 9th Grade Division and she joins 7 others on my Tip Sheet.

Oklahoma has some good players coming up. Hopefully, some will be high D-1 level players.

Ok peep this, Oklahoma is definitely OK and with their amazing runs at Prime Time Nationals in each division, I had to go on record and say that I'm truly sorry I missed the Oklahoma Lady Bombers who won the 5th Grade Division this past weekend at Prime Time Nationals more than the few minutes I saw them. Why Sim Why? Glad you asked and it's simple, they've won AAU, Prime Time and MAYB Nationals twice, going for three at MAYB and because I said so, it's that simple. Trinity Gooden, Kelbie Washington, Chantae Embry, Karley Johnson, Raychael Harjo, Aaliyah Moore, Katie Klkowski and Rachel Larkin were on hand

Every yr more and more coaches buy into players from Oklahoma. That's my mission to get OK kids the same looks as kids from any other state

I would say it's working.

It's not easy..they doubt OK kids size..athleticism..competition level. But as long as we keep putting in work..they gotta take notice
