Mulkey sounds off

A few on this board sometimes wonder why most OU fans despise Mulkey so much? Well, there you have it, sports fans! She is an arrogant, self-righteous idiot who has let her success as a coach make her believe her poo doesn't stink.

The greatest school in the county? Seriously, Kim?! I'll bet there are at least nineteen young women and their families out there who would disagree you. Those girls had their lives destroyed because Baylor's coaches and administrators chose to protect the football program and ignore the rights of their students.

Kim Mulkey, despite her ability to coach and recruit, is a loser in my book! She makes me want to puke!!!

I couldn't have said it better myself.

+1!

We can only hope this begins the downfall of this vile human as a collegiate coach of young women! As far as I can tell, this witch NEVER made a public comment on these atrocities at Hypocrite U until it started to affect her recruiting and she deemed that everyone was to "move on"! If Sherri Coale made a statement like that about a tragedy like this at OU, I'd expect her to be fired on the spot! Of course, Sulkey Mulkey was buoyed by cheers from the Hypocrite faithful, including Drayton "Booger Pickens" McLane and woman that the softball stadium (Getterman) was named after. AND, she literally dropped the mic on the court after her diatribe!!! SMH!

Brenda Tracy, rape victims advocate, has stated that Mulkey is Art Briles in a woman's body....perfect description!

Now, ESPiN is having her on during ND-Fla State women's game!

What. a. piece.

Tycat, thanks for posting the links to these articles!

Two of the three, The CBS and NBC Sports writers called Kim on the carpet for her casual, dismissive approach to a very serious matter. ESPN, on the other hand, should be ashamed! It's easy to see why no one penned that poor excuse for journalism!

If Mulkey is truly worried about how this scandal will affect recruiting, she failed miserably to soften the blow. If I was the father of a Baylor recruit, I would not only be concerned about my daughter's safety, I would have to wonder if Kim Mulkey would be there for her in the event of an assault, or would she work behind the scenes to cover it up the way Art Briles did?

The answer to that question may be in the speech she made!

The Big 12 hasn't done anything to Hypocrite U for the atrocities committed by football players and coaches and administrators (and police), except put a little money in suspense so they surely aren't going to respond to a loud mouthed classless spoiled brat.

Anything the B12 does to Baylor will probably happen after the NCAA concludes it investigation and if the NCAA investigation of USC and Ole Miss are an indication it will probably be another couple of years before anything comes down. I now it took about 4 years start to finish for the NCAA to reach any decisions regarding the Trojans and the Rebels.

While what Kim said on Senior Day was very inappropriate I do not see that is in the purview of the B12. However, the University of Baylor needs to slap her strongly with a big hammer and a NO! NO! Of late that has not been the schools M.O.

Perhaps Pope Francis could appoint a new president of the university.

True

She's embarrassing the Big 12 (what else is new?) but I'm sure you're right. Hypocrite U is NOT going to slap her hand, I'd guess it would be more of a pat on the back!

Perhaps Pope Francis could appoint a new president of the university.

Yeah, like the Baptists would let that happen! :D

This is the same Kim Mulkey that didn't see:

---Joanna McFarland get elbowed in the jaw by Brittney Griner
---the play in which Barncastle had her jaw broken by Griner
-----then it was something about whether she was provoked
---another player throwing a punch (Sims)
---Williams pulling a girl's hair
---five players and an assistant coach leaving the bench to join a fight?

Is there another Kim Mulkey that did not see any of these incidents? Is that not the same attitude that Baylor has taken towards these sexual assaults? Don't acknowledge them without proof. Keep it under the rug. Wait to see if you are forced by public opinion to express outrage, but do absolutely nothing. I think Griner did sit out two very unimportant games.

The attitude under which Briles operated is the same as that of Kim Mulkey and under which she has operated. Baylor will act only if forced by public opinion or by law. Title IX may have something to do with any action they take. But, they will ultimately express outrage over something, just not themselves.

Also, the same Kim Mulkey that chastised media at press conference for voting for DRob over one of the hypocrites.

The same Kim Mulkey who grabbed Pokie Chatman and turned around following her and yelling. Then went on tirade about it during post game conference.

Same Kim Mulkey that jumped all over Sherri after freshman Nyeshia attempted 3 point shot in last few seconds of thumping of Hypocrite U.

What were Sally Jenkins and Mechelle Voepel thinking???

Prepare your best blocking move and a hell of a counterpunch.

OK. This is getting a bit confusing. It is now acceptable to despise Kim Mulkey, but we should still support her getting into the Naismith Hall of Fame?

KM clearly needs to stick to coaching and do not volunteer information/comments/her opinion about incidents outside of WBB.

Coaches should stick with coaching. I think she said later on..she felt horrible about how remarks she made after a game on Saturday were taken to mean she was not supportive of sexual assault victims or the ongoing investigation at the school...Its on ESPN site the full reply from her. I believe other schools are using the rape cases against her recruiting. Or she (KM) sounds like that is what she is saying. I really don't care what she says or don't say..I leave the part where young ladies go to school up to them and the parents. Before anyone jumps on me saying I'm defending her or supporting rapes, I neither support her or against her..to me she is just a coach and has no influence on me in my life.

She said it and cannot take it back. She knows what she is doing.

I would never send a child any where near that heII hole and neither should anyone else.

The culture at Hypocrite U is win at all costs! She's the leader of that culture. Disgusting human being!

Maybe the 2018 recruiting class will take a hit...
Although Mulkey's comments certainly were way out of line, Baylor has a record number of applicants for this fall, according to a recent article in the Waco Tribune-Herald, and it appears unlikely that the recruiting class has been diminished.

Yep! Hopefully, damage to her reputation as a coach of women continues!
I just want to beat them so bad on tomorrow night. They are definitely better, but oh how much fun it would be to light them up and take one from them.
