Mulkey sounds off

ESPN 2 (NOW) Noon - 2:00 Stephen A. Smith REALLY went off Kim....It was on this morning and there is a repeat show on NOW.... It will probably come on between the 1:00 - 2:00 hour....

He's 100% correct!

Mulkey is disgusting and should be fired!

OK. This has been interesting. She's human scum. We all agree to that.

Now lets discuss our team on other threads.

Her comments seem to be related to recruiting difficulties. Maybe some recruits that she expected to show up at Senior Night didn't make an appearance.

Would that cause "off the cuff" remarks at a planned event? Isn't that more of a rehearsed scenario? Would she be fuming because someone didn't show, like that had never happened before?

Yes, it must be affecting her recruiting! EVERYTHING is about Kim! I've yet to see her public comments on the atrocities that happened when they were discovered. Are there any?

She is a selfish spoiled brat!

Kim did this in a planned calculated manner...I think the primary reason is not recruiting but Kim trying to motivate her team with the "everyone is against us...let's get a chip on our shoulders to spite them during the NCAA tournament" ploy. In typical Baylor manner the only thing that matters is winning.

Very well could be! But this motivation might backfire on her this time. Looks like she'll be in OKC regional again and she's had some of her biggest losses here. Here's hoping to another!

Wow! Stephen-A telling it like it is as usual. Everything he said was spot on. Kim Mulkey should be ashamed of herself.

Will the beating she has taken at the hands of the national media change her indignant attitude or soften her heart just a little? People like her do not change easily. Will the Baylor brass be embarrassed enough by her actions to issue a reprimand? Not likely. If Kim thought she would get in trouble for what she said, she wouldn't have run her big mouth!

She has taken beatings from the national media before, although not quite as pronounced.

---she took a bit of a hit when Niemann left after winning a national title
---the reasons were apparently similar to the reasons for which Griner complained
---she took a beating from Sally Jenkins of the Washington Post and Michelle Voepel of ESPN for the recruitment of the Griner class in that she had used, and possibly gotten away with, the fact that her daughter played on AAU team to be able to converse with the members of that team and their parents far in excess of any visitation limitations. As Sally and Michelle stated, six members of that team ended up at Baylor, and the coach became an assistant at Baylor, for the duration of that class.
---she took a hit with the nonresponsiveness to Griner's breaking of Barncastle's jaw.
---she was called out by the Louisville coach for her removal of jacket and throwing it on the floor in protest of the officials, as well as, (I think this was related) the allowing of players and the assistant coach to leave the bench during a fight on the floor.

It's just that nobody has done anything. So, it continues.
