I get a lot more insight on the game from turning down the TV and listening to OU broadcast on radio.....Friday for the OU TV game will be Carter Blackburn and Mike Gminski.....TV volume down..Radio up.

I have never listened to a game on the radio while watching, is there much of a delay between what you hear and what you see?

Yes. That's my issue. The radio is always ahead of my tv. I think Uverse has a longer delay than most.

I know a lot of people hate the national/regional guys, but I still prefer listening to that over the pro-OU broadcast. Just me.

Surely you don't expect any school's broadcast team to be totally unbiased? If the OU broadcasters do a better job describing/explaining what's taking place on the court, it should be a good enough choice for (OU) fans to listen to them.

On the other hand, I'm usually fine with the national broadcast team. On some occasions, however, the national guys are just bad.

I have listened to the radio all year and enjoy it.

True the delay is maddening but coach Scott Thompson's access allows insight into what the team is trying to do out of timeouts, halftimes, etc. He adds a lot, imo.

Because of the delay, it also tells me what I need to watch for.

IMO, the national people (other than CBS) are clueless regarding college basketball, they don't cover it all year and then try to do the tournament. Not good.

Not at all. I just don't care to hear a pro OU call from guys that really only know/see OU. I get more out of a somewhat neutral broadcast, even a poorly done one.

What I do to help mitigate the delay is to actually watch it on the ESPN App... I'm not sure the TNT (I believe the game is on TNT) will have a similar delay, but the radio app I use is a little ahead; so, I pause it and sync them up... It can get a little bit crazy, but for my own sanity I need the hometown broadcast... I know it's ridiculous, but works for me. If I remember right I was able to do it for the tourney lady year.

Really not a fan of Toby Rowland's play by play. I hate his "announcer" voice.
