My only dissapointment with the game against uk was rebounding. We gave them way to many 2nd and 3rd chances.

If we had someone like Jones for uk we would be a very good team because I was impressed with how hard OU played and how they kept coming at uk.

Unfortunately that is going to be our weakness all season long...

Hopefully Capel is addressing this and doing several rebounding drills a day to help, but you cant teach size and this team just doesnt have it...

Heart is a good thing that can help and they do have that, but you still have to be savvy and know where to position yourself when shots go up...

I just looked at box scores and the 2nd chance points was uk 12 OU 8.

Really!? thats closer than I thought. My opinion on this is Washington has to get better so he can take Thompson's spot. Wonder Why he isn't starting over him already. He is obviously more athletic? Anyone got any ideas?

Thompson has more of a calming factor on the offensive end...they can run the offense through him and it adds another guy who can bring the ball up...

Rebounding is very important, but that is about all CJ is going to give us offensively...And Defensively i think last night is a one-off for Thompson, he was battling probably one of the best freshman in college basketball last night...

Also i think he brings a bit of vocal leadership that CJ doesnt, those intangibles just add up and it's hard to keep him off the court...

Hopefully they can find a good balance between the two, possibly even playing them at the same time in Zone situations...

Ok, thanks for your opinion makes it a bit clearer in my head. Now, for a tougher ? If you had to take just one for the next two years which one do you take?

I really havent seen enough of CJ to call that one...

I like Thompson and what he brings and have seen enough body of work to make my justification, but CJ has only played in spots so i dont know really what he brings with extended playing time....

I think Thompson is the overall better player but like i said, that is not fair to CJ because i havent seen him play a lot yet....

I agree completely. I like CJ and believe that when he gets the hang of playing D1 basketball, he will excel. But I'm afraid at this point in his career he would foul out of most games by halftime if he was a starter.
