We have talked about multiple things in the past we would like to see improve for the team to be more successful. If you were to pick just ONE thing, what would it be?

I would make this a poll but undoubtedly I would omit items some people would like to vote for so I think it is better to allow whoever wants to comment to list their pick and expand on their answer, if they choose to do so.

1. Rebounding. We've got the guards, now all we need is the ball.
2.Tougher defense, inside and out.
3. Increased ball movement.
I'm really not greedy-much.

I'd pretty much agree with j2d2's first choice (rebounding). At times last year we rebounded pretty well, but were terribly inconsistent and would often go for long stretches (five minutes?) where we'd get zero rebounds on defense.

Williams has the talent and potential to be a force in that area, and we've got other players that can rebound as well. These girls have got to be tougher and more determined if they're going to compete for rebounds against the type of competition we'll see week in and week out.

With the girls we have coming back – including those who were injured or had to sit out last year – and the incoming freshmen, I have the feeling we'll all be pleasantly surprised by this team's play.

I would like to see them do a better job of moving the ball and moving without the ball and get better shots.

Pressure the basketball. With a full roster, we shouldn't have to worry about fouls or fatigue so this would be a great time to pressure the ball all over the court.

IF they cut down the turnovers in half - the team will have a great season. So tired of watching so many low percentage passes.

During the NBA playoffs I had the opportunity to watch a young boy (6 or 7) having a temper tantrum over a Thunder loss. If he was parroting or paraphrasing what he had heard from some adult I will never know, but his delivery through tear filled eyes was priceless.
He screamed “Our defense is bad, EVERY SINGLE GAME we lost was because we let the other team score more points”.
While I found it very difficult to keep a straight face, I find it even harder to argue with his logic.
My vote is Defense.

Defend the 3 point shooter, it seems every time we play a game someone from the opposing team has a career day from beyond the arc and it is because they are left wide open.

I have to say coaching. After last year I am concerned about being bypassed by better coaching staffs.

As Sybarite said intensity. I would call it energy level. Go hard on defense, look for and attack when rebounding, if you make an offensive mistake, make it attacking the basket. Play hard ALL the time, and attack the opposition.

Just by chance I was walking by the girls practice gym the other day. I heard a ball bouncing and activity coming from inside. So, I stepped thru the door. The girls were in the midst of a 5 on 5 full court pickup game. No coaches or staff were present.

I took a seat and watched for about 15 minutes. The energy and effort on display was impressive. If that small sample is any indication, there shouldn't be any concerns in that area.

Rebounding and playing at the proper level for four quarters.
We lost a handful of games by either falling behind by 20-25, then making a furious comeback - only to fall short … or we let leads slip late.
I hope this year we're able to close out like we can and compete for 40 minutes instead of the last 15.

There are a lot of very good ideas which have been posted. I think this shows that the team needs to improve in several different areas to be a top 10 team.
