Figured I’d start this thread for tonight. If you have to move it to the NBA board I understand, but figured it’d be ok since it’s offseason.

Atlanta trades picks 8,17, & 35 for #4. Said they are targeting DeAndre Hunter with the pick.

I'm not super excited to jump up to #4 for Hunter, but I suppose they have the picks they need in keeping #10. At least we know Hunter will never steal the spotlight from Trae.

That’s a good deal especially keeping #10 pick

I wasn't a fan of the pick before I knew the Solomon Hill salary dump. I'm even less of a fan now. They gave up #17, #35, and took on a bad contract just to move up 4 spots. I would have liked to have seen them move up a tier into the top 3.

Someone who doesn’t need the ball to be effective, good spot up shooter, good in the mid post, elite defender. Might not be the best player at #4 but seems like the best fit for them.

Just picked up Reddish, good draft for ATL it seems.

I like Reddish at 10. Boom or bust pick. Roll the dice and hope for a superstar.

They didn’t have the assets to move into top 3. Also Morant & Barrett wouldn’t fit with Trae.

Hunter doesn't project as an elite player. He'll be good. I'm not convinced he'll be great.

I agree I don’t think he’ll be great, but I don’t think they gave up a ton to get the guy they wanted.

He is sure better than anything they could have got at 17 and 35, plus he is an elite defender already

My Bulls did about as well as they could have hope at 7. Getting a PG was key for them. Thankfully Phx traded out of #6. Coby White has a chance to be a very good player for them.

He’s not a pure pg though, don’t see him fitting well with Lavine. Disclaimer though, I don’t like Lavine.

Gotta love the Thunder would appear they need guys that can shoot.....draft guy that shoots 30% from 3’s but a plus defender

Bazely ESPN scouting report

Projects as a multipositional defender who can check guards, wings and forwards alike. Sits down in a stance, covers ground fluidly and makes plays getting in the passing lanes and contesting shots. Has the size and length to defend big men once his body fills out. Plays with solid energy.

Improvement areas
- Has unconventional shooting mechanics that could lead to inconsistent results. Only made 30% of his 3s in the 50 games in our database.

If the Pelicans can retain Julius Randle they will be a very good team.

Then they immediately sign Lugeuntz Dortz to a 2 way contract. Granted he's a 1st round talent and good defender but a poor 3 point shooter. That said if he can develop a consistent shot he could be a huge steal.

Bleacher Report scoouting profile:
Offensive Strengths
Strong, athletic driver. Puts pressure on the rim, but he can also make outside shots when in a rhythm.

Offensive Weaknesses
His finishing instincts are poor. Needs to improve shooting and decision-making.

Defensive Outlook
Strength, quickness, competitiveness causes problems defensively. Has Marcus Smart-like defensive potential.

Projected role: Toughness specialist

Hawks had a great draft.. Bruno could step in and be the backup Center right away. They can play some small ball with Trae, Huerter, Reddish, Hunter and Collins now too! That lineup could be pretty nasty. Detroit I thought did well, got a steal at #15. Kings didn't really notice.

The draft confirmed my thoughts about the ISU freshman. The mock drafts had him late first round. He should have stayed another year.

He's in a good spot for him. Could see playing time early on a good team.
