figured a thread would be decent...

I'd like to see all the b12 move on...except ku..lol.

Watching isu last night, they got screwed on 2 bad calls late in the 2nd half.

The "out of bounds" on the line after a miss by osu...and the "kicked" ball by isu...both late in the half, both led to points...

osu won by 3

ksu..didn't watch it...but I'm sure not having Wade hurt.
tt - won decent

on to the next round

OU/uva - not thinking OU
ku/auburn - interesting..could see ku lose or win
bu/zag - again...can bu win? sure..will they?
tt/buff - tt SHOULD win..prob close game

OU meets KU in the Final 4. OU shows our late season win against the chicken hawks was no fluke. We still owe them some NCAA misery from 88. A guy can dream. #neverforget :billy

KSU looked bored. ISU just kicked the ball around too much. Pretty poor showing by those two.

Woke up this AM still pretty much shocked at how well we played.

Based on results so far, REALLY difficult to say the Big 12 is the best conference.

We'll see what it looks like when the entire tourney has played itself out though.

KSU w/o Wade is a kick in the balls. Heck even the PAC 12 went 2-1 & they are terrible.

Both calls came at a critical time of the game. Officials are human, they are capable of making a mistake. But the officials who made those calls did not see clear violations in either case. Good officials should never guess at what they saw.

I guess it really depends on what your definition of "best" is. You can make arguments for the ACC and Big Ten because they have contenders, but the middle-down in those conferences aren't very good at all.

As most of us suspected, there are no elite teams this year in the conference. However, I do think Tech has an outside chance to get to the Final Four. I also think KU could make the Sweet 16. Even acknowledging some bad calls going against them, ISU had absolutely no business losing to a reeling Ohio State team. Going into the tournament, I felt like they had as good of a chance as any Big 12 team to make a run.....and yet they choked....again. KSU didn't have Wade, but still should've won.....although they probably would not have advanced any further without him.

Having said that, the Big 12 is the only conference that can also say we have no terrible teams. Both WV and OSU are below average, but can beat you if you don't come to play (as we can attest).

That’s why you wouldn’t use a sample of 6 games

You’d need to look at the entire out of conference season

You realize the difference, just looking at OOC, between any of the top couple of conferences is probably a game or two at most, right? A couple of made shots here or there. A correct call on something that was blown. A player not being injured.

Two major conferences had better winning percentages in more games played. They likely played "worse" bad teams, on average, than the Big 12 teams did. That really didn't prove anything.

Any site show OOC records by conference against teams that made the Dance, or some other similar measurement?

Kinda like KSU playing a road game without their best player?

Irvine was the easiest pick of the tourney.

And yes, the conference computer ranking account for SOS.

All the computers love the Big 12 because no weak teams

The ACC has 6 teams (MIA, GT, BC, PIT, ND, WF) ranked worse than the Big 12’s worst (OSU)

And how many ACC teams at the top of the conference played more than 4 games against those 6 teams? You can lump ND in there as being weaker than most, but OU beat them by 5 at a neutral site when we were playing good ball. There really isn't much of a difference between OSU/WVU and those teams. I know the computer measures them differently, but I'm talking the actual chance that an NCAA Tournament caliber team loses to any of them is about the same. And I doubt many ACC tourney teams just loaded up with 6+ games against any of them.

But I'm done debating this. Had enough of it the other day. Big difference of opinion, and I'm fine with that.

Bu getting hammered...
Announcers very pro Gonzaga...

So are the refs. Baylor cant get a call to go their way. Huge bs foul call on vital. He has 4 now

Amazes me how one bad call changes the whole game

Baylor had cut the lead to 5 and should have had the ball and huge momentum

Instead Gonzaga immediately stretches the lead to 13
