the defensive system also fits him better

that said i expect self to force switches with up high and attack him down hill all game long

Good matchups in this one. Fully expect Leaky Black to defend Abagchi all game. He shut down Griffin from Duke the last two times he's faced him. Griffin as of right now is a top 10 Draft prospect.

Bacot vs McCormick should go Bacot's way as Bacot actually rebounds and scores while McCormick just scores. He's rebounding average is blah compared to Bacot's. If Bacot isn't hindered by his ankle injury. Love should be able to score on Braun or however you spell that annoying twats name. Jalen Wilson vs Manek is going to be fascinating. Wilson is okay on D but if Duke couldn't stop Manek from getting into Double figures. Not sure how Wilson will stop him. In the end it's all about hitting shots. UNC hits shots like they did vs Duke, and Black shuts down Abagchi. Kansas could be in for a long night.

Isn’t Bacot the guy that was injured? Yet another thing goes ku’s way.

Yeah, they don't win titles except when there is a ridiculous amount of good fortune on their side. In 1988, they were a #6 seed. Without even looking it up, I have to believe they are the only #6 seed in Tournament history who did not play a higher seed until the Elite Eight - and even then it was only a #4. They just got insanely lucky. Then, in 2008, they took advantage of what I can only describe as the biggest choke-job in Final Four history thanks to John Calipari's incredibly generous gift. Memphis blew a 9-point lead with 2 minutes left in the game...that is hard to do. And now, they keep getting to face opponents who are down a key player from the most recent game. Has there ever been a school in any sport who got so much positive karma from blatant cheating?

The above is why they will win it all, though I'm hoping I am wrong.

LSU in football.

Lol exactly. KU has been significantly better than Carolina all season, so there is no way Carolina should be considered anything but an underdog. I hope they win and that Manek leads the way, but I fear KU will be cutting down nets and the pregame intro video at the Phog will be even more aggravating next season. To think, we had them on the ropes twice.

They matchup well vs KU that was my point. McCormick dominated a very small team in Nova. He didn't get that many points vs Tanner Groves and Chagrois. Just giving my analysis on the matchups. Kansas of course comes in hot shooting over 55% from the field, but Duke was shooting 50% from the field coming into the game.

Duke was significantly better than UNC all season. Baylor was significantly better than UNC all season. Doesn't matter. UNC has been the underdog all tournament sans SP and Marquette, and were 8 point underdogs at Cameron a game I was at. I'm just hoping for a good game, as I don't have a dog in the

McCormick is also a much much better post defender then anything carolina has seen in the tourney

Duke has a very very free flowing O and doesn't always attack the mismatch

KU will put Brady in switches all game long (or if UNC doesn't switch ku will get open 3's and layups )

Brady got destroyed by Paulo all game long except the last 3 possessions as well. So that's nothing new. However, if you think Leaky is leaving Abagi at all. I'll be surprised.

And McCormick's a good post defender? Against who? He hasn't faced anyone worth a damn all tournament inside. Not one team Kansas has faced this Tournament has had one good big guy. When Kansas faced KEntucky at home they got destroyed inside by Oscar T. If Bacot is 95% healthy, McCormick will have his hands full all night.

Of course it matters. Do upsets happen? Sure. Does the better team win more often than not? Absolutely. And Baylor was not itself the last several weeks of the season due to injury. Kansas is fully healthy and on a 10-game winning streak. I’m not going to be stunned if UNC wins, but I’m pretty sure Self would rather be coaching his roster tonight than Carolina’s.

I think UNC's also played better opponents in the Tournament than Kansas (except SP). And Kansas struggled vs Providence and Creighton. Kansas is beatable. Especially with a big guy that can dominate (if Bacot is at 95% when the game starts) and great guard play. See Kentucky back in January when they blew out Kansas. And Duke was better than UNC 5 first and second rounders to 0 for UNC. 10 game winning streak or not. I think it's going to be a better game than you guys think. I hope at least.

This is a WAY different statement though than claiming “it could be a long night for Kansas”. Making it sound like UNC is going to run KU over. Carolina also has ZERO depth and quick foul calls in the beginning of the game could quickly kill any hope that UNC has IMO. KU doesn’t always play the bench they have but their bench is more talented than UNC’s by far.

It could be a long night for Kansas. If UNC is hitting their 3 pointers early, Kansas could be in for a long night. That's UNC's game. They live and die by the 3 with Bacot inside grabbing 18 boards per game in the Tournament. You do know there is a difference between saying it COULD be a long night for Kansas and it WILL be a long night for Kansas, right? One is a maybe, the other is I'm predicting they will. Which I did not do. Sigh.

a KU blow out win is much more likely then a UNC blow out win

I think unc wins. Cheering for Manek and I will never cheer for ku either.

Yeah well. A Duke blowout was likely too. A Baylor blowout was likely as well.

If it's a blowout it'll be because UNC is emotionally exhausted more than anything. That and Bacot is hurt worse than Davis is reporting.

or because KU is the better team and has been all season long ..

even after this crazy run UNC is 16 in kenpom ... (ku is 3 )
