Need an experienced big

How about a 6'6" 3/4 with projected NBA talent and 3 yrs. eligibility?

This could be a description of Waymon Tisdale out of high school. After 3 years at OU, the NBA measured him at 6'7 1/2" in his bare feet.

He was listed at 6'9" in the OU program.

I've said a thousand times that I hate "counting" rebounding stats. It's like RBI's in baseball. Or runs. There are better stats. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what I explained above. Just sayin'.

RBI and runs are the most important offensive stats in baseball...

Ejim is a better rebounder than Spangler...and I really like Ryan. He grabbed a ton of caroms early in conference, but over the last dozen games he only hit double figure rebounds twice.

From the few college coaches I talk to, most don't use a rebound/gm statistic anymore to evaluate because it's misleading. Where technology and time is available, most us efficiency numbers to compare players.

Ejim plays on a team with depth at the forward position. If Ryan had that luxury he wouldn't have wilted down the stretch and would still have good numbers. How many minutes did Ejim play vs Ryan? I would bet the difference is substantial. Substantial would be anywhere from 40-80 minutes difference.

In terms of player evaluation? Not a chance. Not even close. And if I have to explain why, it won't do any good.

Ejim - 1026 minutes played (32.1/game)
Spangler - 963 minutes played (29.2/game)

Next theory?

I'm surprised it's that big a difference the other way? How many games did ISU play than OU or are they equal?

ISU played more games, but Ejim missed two of them.

So in the stat above, Ejim played in 32 games, and Spangler 33, I think.

ISU didn't have much post depth. What they had was quality, but really, Ejim, Niang, and Hogue played most of the important minutes at the 4/5 spots.

Are we even in on any quality post players in the late signing period?
