Jon Rothstein just reported it on Twitter. Muni sprained his ankle in a recent practice.

That’s not good! A healthy, fired up Muni would have been the most important player on our roster in tonight’s game.

more of manek and doolittle death lineup is not a bad thing

Love the death lineup, but for an extended period of time, it might be rough.

Has Kuath's back improved? I can't imagine playing Polla extended minutes.

id guess Kur will be redshirting... if possible. Maybe medical.

Not good news at all. Fortunately they don't seem to be a very big team, but still hurts especially with Kuath out. The way Manek has rebounded makes me think we might be able to survive this better than I would have thought at the start of the season.

they run 4 out and start 4 guards but i agree this is not ideal ..

this news crushed my day

I feel you CoolM. Take heart, if Kuath redshirts, then Doolittle will have to play the 5 quite a bit as Muni will likely be in foul trouble during conference play. Polla can spot minutes, for now, nothing more IMO.

If the team can pull off the win without JM, it'll be a huge step forward for them and a boost to their confidence. (Just trying to find the pre-game bright side...)

The prices on Stubhub are just barely dipping at all, so I'll likely be watching from home -- and I'm a little less disappointed about that than I would be if JM were playing. But if we do pull off the win in his absence, I'll definitely wish I'd been there.

I hate Notre Dame (even though my nephew, whom I love dearly, was recently hired to work in their sports media department).

It may end up helping us defensively - so I'll try to take solace there.

I see that it is McNease's right ankle that is injured....that is somewhat of a relief. If you're right-handed, typically your left leg is your strong leg that you jump off of. So if there is positive in this.....that's it.

If I remember correctly, isn't Muni left handed but got hurt and learned to use his right?
