I'd say 2009-10's squad on paper. Of course, that turned out to be a train wreck but we had the preseason Big 12 POY who garnered NPOtY votes, two highly regarded McDAAs, Crocker and some other returning experienced players.

I have not been as excited for Sooner basketball since the preseason of the year above!

I thought they was going to have a good year but honestly I thought they would need 2 years and then they'd be elite 8 good. This team has a lot more experience and a lot more senior laden team. I would say this team would be as good on paper as the 08-09 team. We didn't really know what we were getting with the freshman in 09-10. I undertand what you mean though.

I think, on paper, the squad before - 2008-09 - was stronger than the on paper squad of 09-10. On paper, Keith Clark, Longar Longar and David Goldbold was a stronger paper than Willie Warren, Ryan Wright and Juan Patillo.

Willie Warren was better offensively than Goldbold but not as good defensively plus not the rebounder. Longar was a ton better than Ryan Wright. On paper, Keith Clark had physical NBA talent but a basketball IQ hovering around junior high. Even though Patillo was pretty good athletically, he wasn't a shooter and didn't have Clark's potential.
