No go to guy in the halfcourt.

I also don't understand how they couldn't get fired up to play this game with a highly ranked team and all the emotion to feed off of with the Remember the 10.

In other news, Texas is very, very legit.

Started off with emotion, I thought, then they came to the realization, "Man, there better at every position on the court."

Yeah, I didn't catch the start so maybe I just missed it. I just thought that the ags would rally around a charged crowd and an emotional event (ala OU vs Texas last year for WT night)...

Ostate couldn't ever get a rebound or key stop. Also, they aren't going to win many games when page goes scoreless. Page was a liability on both ends tonight as Balbay had a great night.

Bigtime, agree with the texas at ou game last year. I thought ostate would atleast hang around. It reminded me of OU's home game this year with aTm.

Balbay versus Page was like a modern day Magic-Bird.

Exactly what I was saying in the off-season: Their departures were more hurtful than a few Ok. State fans on here were willing to admit, and them not having a go-to guy was going to cause them to struggle greatly. I remember a few posters' rebuttal was along the lines of, "Well that's what you guys were saying last year when Eaton left..."

No. Those were two totally different circumstances. Ok. State didn't have an All-American caliber player returning this season like they did last year with Anderson.

Of course I've had some off-base statements concerning basketball myself (I did predict the Clippers to make the playoffs this season, probably not going to happen), so I don't know a whole lot. But right now some Ok. State fans need to eat some crow, this team is worse than a lot of them were willing to admit.

Texas is Final Four good. They have it all. A solid point guard, dominant big man, a scorer, a lockdown defender, depth and good chemistry.

Texas is a tough out. You can't isolate on one weak defender because they have none. Thompson and Hamilton clean up the inside and Balbay causes havoc on the perimeter. That being said, the go to guys are Moses and Olukemi. Ford just has to figure out how to create space for them. With the lack of an effective pg, it has been difficult.

Yes, Texas is tough. But it's one thing for OU to score 46 pts in Austin. It's another for a team like OSU that is supposed to be decent to score 46 pts AT HOME.

Yeah -- we came out with emotion for sure. Not sure when you started watching, but OSU was up 21-19 with about 5-6 minutes left in the first half.

Then Texas made 3-pointers on something like 5 of their next 6 possessions and that was pretty much it.

Texas is the worst possible matchup for us. Normally, Page can get his points when we play at home, but Balbay makes that impossible.

It also complicates factors that nobody can seem to play point guard, forcing Page to play out of position.

Page missed several wide open looks. Balbay was really good last night though.

I always think that tough defense contributes to missing open looks. Guys don't shoot in their normal rhythm when someone has been blanketing them all night.

There was one great example, I believe early in the 2nd half... it was a broken play or fast break or something, but Page got the ball wide open behind the 3-point line on the wing.

Normally, he just fires that shot up and makes it when he's that wide open... but this time he hesitated... almost like he was expecting to make a shot fake and then he took a dribble to gather himself and shot it... and missed.

That, IMO, has 100% to do with Balbay's defense on him during the game, even though Balbay wasn't anywhere near him on that particular play.

I would agree. But he needs to score more than a egg!

That is one team I was definitely wrong about. They've exceeded my expectations thus far.

And how did they let USC beat them so handily? That game still mystifies me.

I am one that thought this team would be better than it is. I was thinking 9-7, 10-6 being a really good year. I am now thinking they will be 7-9, 8-8 at best. There are only 2 players on the wing that can create their own shot (Brown and JP), and they are still to inconsistant.
