This was a disappointing loss. Griffin showed up. Vegas was one of ten from three and had four turnovers. Kay Kay had two points and zero rebounds.

We simply didn't play defense in the second half.

Sherri: we had no help from Kay Kay, and Griffin got tired. Vegas was way off.
We got up five and got lackadaisical with the ball. Couldn't get organized. Went a long time without a FG in the second half.

A 27% 3=point shooting team hit 50% from three. They were only a 67% FT shooting team, and they hit 75%. They shoot only 38.9% from the field, but they hit 45%. They are the next to worst rebounding team in the Big TWelve, but they matched us.

It hurt not getting help from Kay Kay when they are not a good team inside. It also hurt that Vegas really had a bad night from outside. We had no bench help.

I really thought this team had learned its lesson and was starting to play some inspired basketball. If they continue to play like this, I hope they don't make the NCAA tournament, maybe that is the wake up call they will need. I hope the Freshmen that come in next year push and embarrass the current kids into having some passion and desire to wear the crimson and cream, this team just doesn't get it.
