Good or bad we get another shot at a win.

As posted...bu 4 pt fav due to 2 starters being out.

Would love to see OU right the ship, but IF I was betting I'd take bu. They hung with ksu for most of the game, playing a former walk-on and freshmen.

They'll be just as hungry for a win. They run the 1/3/1 zone and frankly I haven't seen us play well against the zone at all.

Given the 30 point loss in Norman, one would think that our guys would come out to play extra hard tonight. I certainly hope they do.

If I were in Vegas, I would put everything I own on BU to cover. I have seen nothing from OU in the past 3 weeks that makes me think we have any chance whatsoever in Waco. I think the chances we get beat by 30 again are higher than of us winning.

Agree. You know you dont have to be in vegas to place a bet right? *wink wink*

I'm not expecting much tonight, but this could be one of those times where the quick turnaround is a good thing. They can't dwell too much on that beatdown or pathetic effort Saturday, and now get to play a short-handed team that embarrassed them at home not too long ago. If we don't see a big all-in kind of effort tonight, I'm not sure we ever will again this year.

If Lon & staff haven't had time to figure out how to attack that 1-3-1 zone by now, then I hold no hope in a win tonight

If that’s what we’re pinning our hope for a win on, I’m not too optimistic.

Sorry for the pessimistic response, but my confidence in our coaching staff is at an all time low right now.

Just trying to put a little slapstick humor in an otherwise dismal basketball season.

Oh, I know, LOL. I just don't want to start betting without being at a sports book because I still have a child who needs to go to college. :ez-laugh:

Sorry, went right over my head. It’s obvious I’m not in a jovial mood. :D

That’s on me. A win tonight would do wonders for my attitude. Seriously. I actually think our players are capable. Bieniemy seems to have a basic understanding about how to attack a zone. He may be the key. And, of course our perimeter shooters will have to make some shots.

He needs to start shooting more for he has athletic ability to do so and how could it be worse than it already is? I'd like to see him take 10 shots each outing.

I'm pretty much there...BUT...yes the BUT...after ut hammered wv I have hope we might pull off the win against wv. They seem as much or more in a tailspin as us.

To be honest there is nothing jovial about the last three seasons under Lon.He is 44-43 overall & 16 -31 in the Big 12 that equates to the worst in the league.OU loses 5 upperclassmen next year & brings in a good class, but they are young so does that mean we are 2-3 years away when they are juniors & seniors? If I am not mistaking Lon is the 11th highest paid Division I basketball coach at $3.1mil.so if you equate that to what we have seen the last 3 seasons OU is not getting it's worth. That said I really like Lon he is a great guy, with open practices,& does a great job with bringing back the previous players before the season for the alumni game.

Good to see that you could think of something nice to say.

I really don't understand why you think you need to question someone's opinion that doesn't meet your criteria?I have read many of your post's on the Mens & Womens boards & even on OUInsider & you berate & criticize anyone who dared question anything you said or that they may have said.

Good news: RO starting. Bad news: he is replacing Calixte instead of James. Although to be fair, Calixte has also given us nothing since returning to the starting lineup.

Glad Odomes is starting. If we don’t attack the zone and just play the perimeter passing game we lose big again. Odomes is the guy who can help us attack.
