Hope that doesn't mean things look bad for Woodard/Parker.

BTW, Stevie was at the game last night, and that is where he received the offer.

Too bad he couldn't suit up immediately! Just kidding, thought our kids played tough last night, just not ready to win games against Top 10 opposition [i.e. finding ways to lose].

How much of a longshot would it be to get all three of Clark, Woodard and Parker?

Would be one hell of a perimeter trio for the future. I'm guessing it's a very long shot though.

I think it is 50% that we get one of them, 25% we get two of them, 10% at best that we get all three. Keep your eye on Omega Harris, that kid has some serious game. If we could get one of the three this season and the Harris next, I'd be a happy Sooner.

This is my question too. So bump..

I think our chances are better than that. Woodard and Parker are suppose to be close from playing AAU ball together. Both, IMO, would like to stay close to home. Parker is a family guy, and his father is a professor at Tulsa. Woodard's older bro is going to TU (I believe?). Not sure where we stand with Clark, but from the article I read, his mother sounded pretty excited that OU was getting in on him.

We just added three Top 150 perimeter players [from what little I've seen, Henry is not a banger] this last class and two of them are very similar to Parker. Then you have to convince Clark and Woodard to battle for PT when they are both good enough to probably be the only PG taken in a class at another school. I'd love to be wrong, but I'm cautiously optimistic we get one of those guys, two would be a heck of a recruiting job [especially if it was Woodard and Clark], all three would be amazing. But I'm not Sam or Will and they obviously talk to these kids, so they'd have the best answer and percentages. I'm just glad that we are recruiting all three.

Do parker, woodard and Clark all play the same position (PG)? Or could 1 be moved to the 2?

Woodard and Parker are both PG's, Parker is a SG/Wing. I'll say this, the Oklahoma kid I really like is Omega Harris, I thought he was about 5'8", but have been assured that he is 6'1", his highlights are some of the more impressive that I've seen, just a really good feel for the game.

Parker is not a pg. He is a 2/3.

We need two pg's, and could play two of them together if they are good enough. Hield is a 2/3. Hornbeak a 1/2. Plenty of minutes to go around. Might be tough to get BOTH Woodard and Clark, but I see no reason why Woodard and Parker wouldn't want to come, even with Hield and Hornbeak on board.

We're gonna have to sign guards, so they are going to be competing with somebody.

I don't know what Stevie thinks of the Sooners but the east side of town is buzzing with this news. They are very excited to have OU offer a homegrown kid from OKC. The whole community has been more impressed with Lon than they ever were with Capel.

Fantastic news!!! I was hoping Stevie would get an offer. A local kid who can score the way he does, should never have to leave home, unless that's what he chooses to do.

You'll look good in the C&C, Stevie!

As for Parker and Woodward. Call me greedy, but I want all three!

I haven't seen anything anywhere on who these 3 guy's leaders are. I would have thought that keeping them in state with the massive opportunity in '13 at OU wouldn't have been that tough a sell? But after reading the first few posts it sounds like there's little chance we get Woodard and Parker. Is there a prevailing wisdom that these guys are looking out of state, or have other leaders?

Me too. I think Oklahoma kids are less likely to transfer.

I think we lead for them. Still time for that to change, and I'm not sure where everybody else is getting their info, but I think somebody from this site even said they liked our shot with both of them, not to long ago.
