Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

We need to take the ball to the basket early and often and get to the line ourselves and we'll be fine. The 3's are going to be there all game, but we need to be more of the aggressor.

When we do drive, we get mugged with no whistles.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Does Spangler have 3 fouls or 2?

Announcers have been saying 3 but box score says 2. I think Manyang really did pick up the foul that announcers attributed to Spangler.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

I still think OU is going to win this, but I bet Lon shortens the rotation in the second half. Of course foul trouble will force more bench play.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

We need to pick up defensively full court and drive to the hoop on O. Avoid charges and make the terrible officials call fouls.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Let's hold up renaming the court until this game is over.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

OU did a poor job of adjusting to the officiating in the first half.

Hawaii is going to rachet it up physically, OU must answer but be smart about it.

It's a 10 point game if OU could keep the Rainbows off the line.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Two comments: 1) No one should be remotely surprised that the officials will be biased toward the home team, especially in a holiday tournament. I knew this would be officiated worse than any game in Lawrence, Kansas save for 2006. 2) My one complaint about Coach Kruger is his reluctance to use timeouts to stop a run. He waited until it was an 18-1 run to call a TO. As expected, the run ended after he called the TO. Perhaps one of the coaches on this board can explain to me the philosophy of not calling a TO when the opposition is in the midst of a major run.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Nailed it....Spangler is the key to this team night in and night out.

Mmm ok. Just like to see him be more aggressive. I think he could get some stuff going to the basket cause people are respecting his perimeter game.
But hey I'll leave it to you experts.

By the way he was o for 1 with 2 boards and 2 fouls. We need more than that. He's too good to have that line.

Everybody wants to copy the Monmouth bench now

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

They're (Hawaii) getting wide open shots.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Question on the Cousins FT. He was called for a line violation. I thought the FT shooter only had to wait for the ball to hit the rim. Did they change the rule? He clearly waited until it hit the rim, yet they called the violation on him. Just home cooking?

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Making fade away 3's now.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

Latin has been great in the second half so far.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

The refs are rewarding aggressive offensive, so OU need to attack the rim

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

D needs to be better. O has been good with starters.

Re: >>>>>>OU-Hawaii Gameday Thread<<<<<<

They can't even show us the game because the raping from the officials is so bad.
