OU hosts Vandy in Big 12/SEC challenge

thank goodness we dont hafta play on that screwy floor of theirs.

Vandy? That figures. Out of all the SEC teams, we get a home game in Norman with the least interesting opponent possible. That draw is a dud.

Vandy has two 5* and a 4* coming in. They might be really good. Or... could be a Tiny/TMG situation. We'll see how Bryce Drew handles them.

The drews are so slimy.

They went 12-20 last year and lose their 3 best players. Looks like they have some good incoming talent but I would expect them to be a bottom feeder again in the SEC.

Dude, they signed two of the top 15 players in the country and another Top 70 guy to go with Saben Lee, who had a really strong freshman season.

They're a borderline Top 25 preseason team, what in the hell are you talking about?

You always get lectured on this board about how/why OU can only get a certain type of player, that they can't recruit with the blue bloods. Vanderbilt signed two top 15 guys, seriously? Maybe someday we can aspire to get Vanderbilt level guys!

You've got to hire a coach who makes it a priority.

Not a shot at Lon, but we know he doesn't recruit that sort of player. Neither did Kelvin until the end and we saw how that turned out.

Capel tried, but between probation and his own incompetence that failed, too.

OU could absolutely recruit Top 25 guys each year, but it takes the right coach and it's no guarantee of success.

We just had a 1-&-done top 15 guy. TY was a priority of Kruger's for years.
