Definitely! I wouldn’t leave anyone out, including the coaching staff. Not when a team stinks it up like OU did tonight!

Of course the track record for improvement as the season progresses the last few years is not good.

Oh gawd, I just realized that Florida A&M (2-9) won at Hilton Coliseum, their first ever win against a power 5 team. You know, that tough environment where it's really really hard to win?

I’m out of here. This is all of the excitement I can take in one night. Think I’ll go watch a Hallmark movie with my wife to calm down. :ez-laugh:

That improvement you speak of will have to come from four guys (Williams, Kauth, Iwuakor and Hill) who had a grand total of 4 points and 5 rebounds between the. The only reason I have a shred of confidence they might improve is the realization they can’t get much worse.

You bring up a good point. Most of the contribution tonight was in garbage time. Williams has to play under control. He needs to realize this ain't JUCO anymore. Kuath needs to be stronger with the ball (as well as catching it) and develop some semblance of a post move where he can finish around the rim. Iwaukor doesn't have much basketball skill outside of a nice mid-range jumper, so maybe he can find a way to rebound or defend when he is out there. I sure as hell don't want him touching ball on the offensive end right now. I like Hill, but he is usually hesitant/unsure from the start. It usually takes him a few minutes to get settled in (after a missed shot or two and a turnover).

When your bench is below average, it really stresses your starters. Guys just have to get better.

I wish there were some sort of "non-conference schedule" we could use to iron out these issues.

It is one thing to say something and be able to firmly stand behind what was uttered, but it is a different animal to do just as you have done.

I’m being super hyperbolic. We are are gonna be ok. Just having fun with everyone.

Lol.... “be ok”..... that’s funny. Glad your happy with mediocrity.

Reality is (in my humble opinion) OU admin is perfectly fine with both men’s and women’s b-ball programs being mediocre as long as the coaches are clean and don’t cause any issues with ncaa.

That’s where OU basketball is at.

I agree. It’s been that way forever and I don’t see it changing. What should we expect for a program where the higher ups don’t care? As far as basketball goes, we sow mediocrity and that’s what we reap. Until we fully commit to pursuing championships, we will continue to be mediocre.

OU has zero inside game and when not hitting threes they are going to lose. Wait till we play WVU with their two inside guys. It will be ugly.

OU hasn’t hit 3s all year and is 11-4

In fact tonight was one of their best shooting nights of the season

Bad take, really horrible attempt

Guys its seems to this old man that Austin Reaves needs to be on the bench, he plays like he is the only one who can shoot the rock and he can't hit the side of a barn. To me he comes off as cocky and "i'm the one".

Reaves definitely thinks he is Kobe... But without him, Manek, and Doolittle pretty much nothing happens.

Why is Lon still employed?!? He shouldn’t have been allowed to get on the plane! Let’s fire Joe C while we are at it! HEADS MUST ROLL AFTER ONE LOSS!!

Part of me thinks Oklahoma basketball fans have a hard time shedding the the football mindset. Losing is just part of basketball. You are never going to win every game, and you are never even going to win every game you should win.

You could certainly make a case for not thinking Lon is the future of the program, but not based on any individual game.
